After Lucci left, Russel came over to me and complained, “This might leave a shadow in your daughter's heart.”

I said, "Our daughter needs to toughen up. She's supposed to take over the company in the future. If she can't handle a situation like this, how can I trust her with the company?"

When I thought about my daughter's past life, Lucci had made her timid and weak. She had been pampered and couldn't handle any kind of frustration.

What she just spotted could really hit her hard.

But it was better than letting my daughter trust Lucci unconditionally and giving Lucci the chance to manipulate my daughter behind my back.

I thought about it and suggested, “We can take her out tomorrow. She's just a little kid, so easy to coax.”

Russel put his arms around my waist and whispered, "So how are you gonna thank me? I really put myself out there today."

Hearing those words, I remembered my previous life.

Lucci drugged Russel and the two slept together. Eventually, Russel married her.
