"Hey! How did you look like this? You are now the real definition of a monster." One of the boys, playing at the basketball court said, and every other person who heard laughed and for the first time, Ace felt embarrassed. Chloe approached him and try to defend him but a ball was kicked to her leg.

She tripped and fell on the floor. She screamed out in pain. Ace turned to her and immediately went to her. He helped her up and the mate bond made him face the person responsible for letting her fall on the floor.

It was Mace, the captain of the basketball team.

Ace gripped his collar and landed a punch on his face.

Mace fell hard on the floor and for the first time, Chloe felt happy that Ace fought for her. But she didn't know that it was because of the boy who said he looked like a monster. That might be the reason too. Ace sat on top of him and he didn't stop hitting him till his nose bled.

It was the coach in charge that stopped him.
