Chapter 3: His Future Wife?

“Future wife?” Alpha Terrence gasped in pain when his body fell to the floor. His jaw clenched in anger when he looked at the strange man standing near him. “She’s my wife!”

I stared at the man standing near me, and he had a long, tiny cut in the pack of his face. His crystal blue eyes gave me an impact of a strange sensation in my heart, causing me to step back, not out of fear of him; I just didn’t want him to notice that I was affected by his presence.

“Alpha Terrence, I’m Alpha Jaxon’s Beta.” Another man talked; he was the one who pulled Alpha Terrence away from me. He severely gazed at Alpha Terrence as if his patience was getting thin because of his immaturity. “This land is a payment for your father’s debt to Alpha Jaxon.”

“Liar! My father won’t ever do that!” Alpha Terrence snarled, his cheeks flushed; irritation was obvious on his face when he added, “He loves this pack so much. He got this land from my grandfather!”

“Are you calling us liars?" The man, named Alpha Jaxon, uttered, threatening him to answer his question with honesty or else he might cut his head.

Alpha Jaxon?

My eyes almost popped out when I felt the familiarity of his name in my mind. It seemed I had known him for so long, but I didn’t get the idea from the corner of my brain. It looked like every nerve in my head stopped working, which led me not to remember him.

I couldn’t stop looking at him. There was a feeling that I was fully connected with him through our souls that made him check on me. As soon as our eyes locked, I was dumbfounded and stepped backward. The strange cut near his eyes churned my stomach.

“Yeah, I’m calling you. I’m the new Alpha of this pack, and you can’t invade this territory without my permission. I can’t believe you will act like a spoiled child here in my pack, Alpha Jaxon.” Alpha Terrence scoffed.

I couldn’t process what might possibly happen because the scenario was new. Alpha Jaxon never came into our lives until I died. However, since I decided to change the future and exposed the Alpha Terrence affair, the possible events might change.

My heart is beating rapidly, making me experience difficulty breathing. Alpha Jaxon's eyes were still on me, and he made me feel uncomfortable.

“How dare you talk to Alpha Jaxon that way? Did you know how long he stopped himself from claiming this pack because he considered your father his friend?” The Beta angrily shouted.

“Logan, that’s enough.” Alpha Jaxon used his authoritative tone, which led the Beta to submit to him.

Alpha Jaxon?

I felt I was the dumbest woman in the world when I finally realized that he was the Alpha Jaxon that my father chose me to marry. The Alpha King always bragged about him because of how he managed to lead their pack after inheriting it from his father. He was known for being ruthless toward his enemies, and most werewolves thought that he didn’t have remorse for thinking twice about killing someone.

“Alpha Terrence, you have the choice; either you will give me your land or you will give me your wife.” Alpha Jaxon was added. His eyes darkened, like he was trying to say to Alpjha Terrence that he wasn’t bluffing at all.

“I will never give her to you! How dare you, Alpha Jaxon?” Alpha Terrence coughed and almost vomited when Alpha Jaxon’s eyes gleamed in red.

“I almost believe that you love your wife, but… you’re fucking with another woman, right?” Alpha Jaxon replied with sarcasm. He didn’t bother to give me a look but the thought that he would get me whatever happened made me liked to go back in the Alpha King’s pack.

I didn’t mind if Leanne would be upset to see me because he thought that I was a big threat to my brother’s throne. I only used Alpha Jaxon as the reason for my father to help me divorce Alpha Terrence.

“Your wife is sexy, and I think she’s the woman I’ve been looking for to have my heir.” Alpha Jaxon continued, making Alpha Terrence utter profanities. Beta Logan gave him a dead look.

“I’m not a toy, Alpha Jaxon. I’m not his wife anymore because I will divorce him today!” I muttered between words. Alpha Jaxon turned around to face me. He stepped, filling the gap between us. The corner of his lips rose, amused that I had the boldness to talk back against him.

“I thought you were mute since you’re standing there and don’t bother to talk.” Alpha Jaxon whispered, and it sounded like he became interested even more in me.

“I know how to talk, and I’m knowledgeable enough to defend myself. If you want to get his wife, you should wait for him to marry Greta.” I suggested.

“I don’t like a bitch. I was about to change my mind to choose you as the mother of my heir, but since you’re bold and not intimidated by me, you will remain at the top of my list of choices,” he responded, making me regret that I decided to talk to him again.

Alpha Jaxon was known for being possessive toward his prey, and the more I would act like I didn’t want him, he would do anything to chase me. He was like a predator who locked his attention to his delicious prey.

“If Alpha Terrence doesn’t want to give you to me, then don’t blame me for attacking this pack tonight. I will never show mercy to my enemies.” He warned me before he left me; my jaw dropped. It seemed it would be my fault if he invaded this pack and hurt innocent werewolves because of me.

Alpha Terrence continued mumbling curse words and called his Beta fast. It was fast when he decided to prepare himself for the upcoming battles with Alpha Jaxon. The thought of getting abducted by Alpha Jaxon made the pack members panic in fear.

“Alpha Terrence, it would be better if you would sign the divorce papers and let me leave this pack in peace.”

Alpha Terrence took a deep breath and pulled his hair as if he were getting frustrated with me. Greta had a smirk on her lips; she might like what I wanted so much.

“No, we will overcome these difficulties in our marriage, Vina. I know you’re only doing this because you want my full attention.” Alpha Terrence answered insanely.

“Are you fucking crazy? You want to lose your people because of me. I will leave tonight---”

“If you could…” He gave me a sly grin, then signaled his guards. “Lock her to the attic. I don’t want Alpha Terrence to get her from me.”

My body stilled when the guards held my hands and yanked me away from him. Alpha Terrence gave me a glance with empathy when he whispered, “We will remain married as long as I am breathing. Vina, you’re mine, and no one can snatch you away from me.”

“Alpha Terrence!” I screamed his name desperately. I was pushed inside the attic, and I heard the loud lock coming outside from the door. My hands slammed several times, hoping he would change his mind, but he won’t. “Alpha Terrence, you fucking asshole! Open this damn door!”

“Starting today, no one is allowed to visit Luna Vina unless she repents of her sins.” Alpha Terrence ordered.

The darkness coming from the attic made me experience a terrible flashback in my life. My eyes formed in tears, gritting my teeth when I slammed my hand once again.
