Unraveled Secrets

I yanked the door open to the room that I was sure as hell my mother would be in, I had left my dad to the doctor who was in charge and everything in me kept pushing me on, telling me that he would be okay but still, that glimmer of light which was always with me was dim, telling me repeatedly of how much disappointment I was and how I would be haunted by his ghost if he didn't wake up.

Sighing, my gaze wandered to my mother who was seated on the couch, fingers in her lips anxiously, "Son" she called out in shock when I stepped into the room, a gun in my hands and bloody clothes.
