8. Round 1 ... Fight!

I arrived on time this morning to the training grounds to see everyone stretching and warming up. Looking around I found the locker room walking to it and someone blocked me from the doorway . I made a sour face seeing it was Sarah and her minions standing in front me.

"Well look who showed up this morning guys . " She said sarcastically to them . 

They all turned around and stared at me . 

" I was surprised you showed up this morning ." Tyler said walking besides her threw his arm over her shoulder .

" Just like everyone else here, I am here too ." I said walking past them headed to the locker room . 

" Well just like everyone else have been here the last 5 years ...and where was you again ?" He replied sarcastically 

I just keep walking ignoring his last statement " I hope we are partners with him ,so we show him a thing or too." Shiva said, sounding annoyed by Tyler's statement to us leaving then returning.

" For his sake I would hope not ." I replied to her 

Entering the room I headed to a locker to put my things inside , I looked around to make sure no one was around . I pulled my shirt off and quickly changed into a long sleeve workout shirt. I had my pants and workout shoes on already , but I brought extra clothes for the ride home after I finish my errands later today . 

Closing the locker I walked back out to the large area . I was sidetracked when I walked in and didn't see the size of the place . It is an equipment area , with weights and bench press too. 

" Are those fighting poles !?" I said to myself 

What kind of training does the Alpha and his people teach? I said mental asked myself .

I walked around looking for somewhere to stretch out at and found a spot. Once I started I felt eyes on me and I knew who it was.. Alpha Kane . Looking up I can see him across the arena talking to another male . Must be his Beta, Nick. I think my sister told me his name . He sees me looking at him and he winks at me . 

" What the f**k !!" I said mentally, I was shocked and I'm pretty sure my face was too. 

" Why would he just do that in public ! Doesn't he know people can see him right in front of your Beta too !" Saying to myself felt like people were watching us. 

My face felt hot just from just that small gesture so I turned from him and finished stretching my arms over my head one at a time then I leaned over to reach my toes then I heard .

" He's strict when it comes to training ." I see Gina standing next to me with a smile on her face .

" Really I can't tell . " Is what I wanted to say but instead I replied back " Oh " 

" You do know that you have to fight the Beta and the Alpha for training right ? " I looked at her like she had a second head and confusion .

I shook my head at her to reply . " Your sisters didn't tell you ?" She asked as I continued to stretch.

" They fell to mention that when we talked yesterday" I said looking at them sending glares they're way . Letting them know I'm going to get them both back later .

" It's only for training , and fyi nobody came even close to beating them . Beta Nick would go easy at first but then switch on you mid fight ,but Alpha Kane well…" Gina paused for a second 

" He might try to kill you or at least put you in the clinic." She said with a slight concern.

" Thanks for the tips but I am not worried about either of them, " I said truthfully . 

I knew Alpha Kane wouldn't intentionally hurt me and he definitely wouldn't let his Beta either.

I finished stretching and then I heard Beta Nick speak.

" Ok everyone, partner up with the people from yesterday's training . Humans form only " 

" Ms . Devon , come here please. " Beta Nick called me over after the announcement he made . 

" Great " I said mentally to myself 

" We got this, " Shiva said to me, trying to ease my nerves . 

" Yes Beta " I said walking to him once I got close enough . 

" Since you missed yesterday's training , I or Alpha Kane have to see how good of a fighter you are and where to place you, " he stated .

" Ok … so who am I fighting ? " I was not surprised by his statement . Looking between him and Alpha Kane 

" Me . " Beta Nick said .

I looked at him up and down to check his build " he looks like the boxer type " Shiva stated. 

" Boxers are easy targets, " I thought .

 " Hopefully " Shiva said

 I knew what she meant he might look easy but beware of his movement. I looked over at Alpha Kane and saw him talking to freaking Sarah .

 " What the hell are they talking..." Just as I thought that they're laughing at something and she touched him 

" WHAT THE F**K !!! " We scream mentally to each other ,Shiva and I .

Just then I heard a low growl but loud and then I realized that growl came from me . Kane's eyebrow raised a question for that being that I was looking at him . 

And before I could react I was knocked to my butt with a hard punch from Beta Nick . 

" Pay attention Ms . Devon " he said standing at my feet looking at me like it was on purpose he caught me off guard. 

" He's going to pay for that !" Shiva growl 

With that I stood up and dusted myself off " so all I have to do is land you on your ass ? " I asked . 

I walked back some and started to remove my socks and shoes keeping my eyes on him .

 " Yes " he sounds curious as to what I'm doing with my shoes .

I let my feet dig into the gravel and just like he caught me off guard I got him back . 

I took off straight for him a second later. I was right in his face. I didn't punch him , I moved to the left, I turned to jump on the back of his neck . I wrapped my legs around his neck and I flipped him over onto his face .

I was in fighting stance once I turn to him ,then I heard gasping after that 

He started to rise I looked at him curiously " Well that what I call a fight " he said to me 

I was shocked. I thought he might be mad about being thrown on his face. Surprisingly he wasn't mad at all. I looked around and everyone was staring in awe at what they just saw. I looked at Alpha Kane and he looked surprised but his face didn't show it but something else lies hidden in his eyes like he was proud and impressed with that takedown . I quickly looked away because I felt my face tingle a little. I knew I was forming a blush on my face damn mate bond.

Beta Nick walked up to me " Good takedown , where did you learn that at ? " He asked because I am sure he had never seen an move like that . 

" A friend had taught me some time ago. " 

I told him without saying the details.

" Uh… well lucky you " he said walked over to Alpha Kane . Something said between them because they're mindlinking each other . 

  

I looked at my sisters and needless to say, their eyes were wide as saucers. 

 "WTF! " Jeanie mouths to me from across the arena. 

" What "?" I surged my shoulders and hand up .

Slowly everyone started to go back to what they were doing before this little show I guess …. Sighed knowing I still have to be placed somewhere among the warriors of this pack.

" Well that wasn't to bad " Shiva said a little cheerful 

" If you say so …. I'm just glad he's neck is not broken. " I replied.

  

Beta Nick walked back to me " Alpha said you will fight him at a later time , something came up ." .

" Huh… ok then when ? " I asked him because I wanted to fight the Alpha .

" He said he will let you when, " he replied.

" Great another pop up at my house again " I said to myself .

" Okay " I said to him .

" And you can partner with Gina since her partner is not here today . " He said .

I nodded and started to walk back to Gina and the twins now standing next to her . I thought It was weird of him to suddenly leave when the fight was over.  

Then said we will talk later about our fight or test should I say . This man is doing something to me because no other man's statement wouldn't have no effects on me but this man's statement sure did. It made me feel disappointed how he just left without saying something to me but he can talk to Sarah and not me .

The rest of the training went by quickly . By that end I was sore and aching , I was really out of practice . 

" I got your message yesterday, sorry I couldn't respond quickly but yes it is still up for rent ." Gina said as we walked out the training grounds to the cars . 

 " Great, when are you available ? " I asked 

" How about today , I'm off work . " She said 

" Great " I replied 

She gave me the address to the building , and decided to meet there at noon .Getting in my truck felt tired and washed over knowing I had that errand to run to the plant nursery. 

I shook my head and started my way to town .
