Kayla’s POV

Bang, bang, bang.

"Harrison!"

The sudden pounding on the door interrupted Harrison's teasing.

Harrison released me, his eyebrows furrowing deeply. His intense green eyes remained fixed on the tightly closed door, his stern expression simmering with impending anger. He exuded a chilling aura that sent shivers down my spine.

Harrison suppressed his temper, stood up from the bed, and casually grabbed a piece of clothing to drape over himself.

Just as he was about to stride out of the room, he glanced back at me and said, "Get dressed, stay here."

"I see," I replied immediately.

Facing Harrison's current wrathful demeanor, I complied without hesitation.

I fastened my disheveled clothing, tidied up my hair, and then sat on the bed, hugging a pillow, losing my mind.

As the time I spent waiting grew longer, the chaos outside escalated.

Filled with worry for Harrison, I quietly opened the bedroom door and followed the sounds of the argument all the way to the living room.
