I turn away from Ramsey and face the door, trying to keep my emotions in check. “She…ran away?” I ask, shocked by the news he’s given me. “Yes.” I turn away from him and try to calm myself down. How could I have been so stupid to trust Liana? Nobody else says anything, they just stare wide eyed at Ramsey, frozen in shock, horror and fear. “You can’t bring rogues into the pack, they are rogues for a reason.” “Alexa, that’s a hurtful thing to say about your fellow wolf.” “Ramsey-“”My decision is final. Ares and I crouch down low and shuffle towards the window. There’s a faint sound coming from outside, like the person doesn’t want us to know they are there. It takes some time for me to get to my senses, pull myself up and off from the ground and start looking for a way to fix this mess. Ramsey had not locked me back into the suite, probably assuming that I was going to curl up into a ball and cry myself to sleep. He was dead wrong. I haven’t been able to sleep for the past three days. When night comes, all I do is toss and turn in my bed.
