Alpha Denzel To The Rescue

 DIANE'S POV

 Luna Morgana started walking slowly and elegantly toward me and I quickly wrapped a protective arm around my sister as I glared at her.

She walked up to us and for some seconds, we glared at each other.

"You little thwart! How dare you talk to me like that?" she spat as her eyes burned in fury.

"All I want is for you to stop insulting my sister..."

Without hesitation, she slapped me across the face and I was dazed for a moment as Melody began to cry.

"You stupid idiot! So you have the nerve to open your filthy mouth to talk rudely to me?" she asked with disbelief.

I didn't respond and was gently rubbing my stinging cheek as I glared at her.

"I have warned you several times never to question or challenge me but it seems you are hard of hearing. Anyway, since you have shown that you are pigheaded, I will show you that I'm the Luna in our pack!" she said with anger.

I continued to glare at her as I felt Melody quivering in my arms. I stole a glance at her and her eyes were filled with fear.

"I don't blame you and you stupid sister. I blame the alpha for bringing you to his house after the death of your wretched parents. Now listen to me carefully. As long as you live in this house with me, you dare not oppose me or talk rudely to me cos if you do, I will make your life a living hell in this house! Do you understand?" she spat.

"Luna Morgana, do you think I'm afraid of you? In case you don't know, I'm not afraid of you! I just told you not to insult my sister and I mean it. I must add that I forbid you to insult my late parents as well. I don't mind if you hurl insults at me but don't you ever again insult my sister and my parents..."

Suddenly, she gave me a resounding slap across my face. I staggered backward and lost my balance. Melody and I fell to the ground with a thud.

Melody yelled in pain as I quickly sat up. I looked at her and she was wincing in pain.

"Melody, are you alright?" I asked with concern.

"Yes, I am."

"Alright. Please, stand up," I said as I rose to my feet.

I looked at Luna Morgana and we made eye contact. For some seconds, I stood glaring at her as she glared back at me.

After some seconds, I walked slowly up to her and stood in front of her as my eyes blazed in fury.

"You wicked Luna! You want me to keep quiet when you insult my sister and my parents but I won't! You have been maltreating my sister and me since you came to this house and I have been tolerating you. I want to assure you that someday, karma will visit you and you shall pay for all that you have been doing to my sister and me. I am only respecting you because of Alpha Denzel. If not because of him, I would have dealt with you in this house!" I said with an icy tone.

Her eyes widened with shock and she started panting with rage. Suddenly, she raised her arm to slap me but I quickly grabbed her wrist and dug my long nails into her skin.

She screamed in pain and just then, I heard the sound of a door open and quickly withdrew my hand as Luna Morgana massaged her wrist that had turned pink.   

I turned my head and saw Alpha Denzel standing in front of his door. He was looking so handsome and gorgeous in his white pajamas. He was staring at me with shock on his face as I gazed at him with a deadpan face.         

Instantly, my anger abated and I felt a rush of sexual desire that made me weak at the knees. I struggled to keep an impassive face to hide my intense sexual feelings. 

As Alpha Denzel and I made eye contact, the shock on his face instantly disappeared and he kept a straight face, however, I saw a glint in his mesmerizing sapphire-blue eyes. For a moment, we stared at each other.

I averted my gaze and looked at his short ruffled blonde hair. I felt like running my fingers through them.

Then, my eyes swept down to his handsome square-shaped face with remarkable masculine features. For a moment, his face seemingly held me spellbound.                

I averted my gaze and my eyes swept down to his broad muscular chest which was obvious despite the loose pajamas he was wearing. I longed to caress his chest but knew it would never happen considering he was mated to Luna Morgana.

"My Alpha, are you going to just stand there without doing anything? Can't you see how this useless mannerless girl you call your maid is disrespecting and assaulting me?" Luna Morgana asked angrily.

Alpha Denzel averted his gaze from her and stared at me for a moment with a deadpan face before he started walking toward us.

"My Luna, what happened?" he asked with a gentle tone.

"I came out of my room and saw Diane and Melody wrapped in each other's arms and they were talking. I scolded them for leaving their work to be talking and to my surprise, Diane started talking rudely to me. Can you imagine this little thwart disrespecting me?"  Luna Morgana said with disbelief. 

Alpha averted his gaze at me as I stared at him with teary eyes.

"Diane, did you talk rudely to my Luna?" he asked with a gentle tone.

"Yes, I did but she was the one that provoked me," I replied as tears streamed down my face.

"How did she provoke you?" he asked.

"She insulted Melody and my parents. I have told her countless times to refrain from insulting them. I don't mind if she hurls all the insults in the world at me but I won't condone her insulting innocent Melody and my late parents," I said as I began to cry.

"Diane, stop crying. It's alright, okay?" he said as he wrapped his arms around me and wiped my tears with his hands.                

His strong masculine scent drifted into my nostrils and waves of sexual desire rushed through my body. I averted my gaze at Luna Morgana and she was staring at Alpha Denzel in disbelief.

"My Alpha, what do you think you are doing?" she spat.

"I am consoling her of course," he replied.

"You are supposed to be berating her for insulting me not consoling her," Luna Morgana yelled as her eyes blazed in anger.

"I will never do that except she is wrong," he replied.

"Are you saying she is right for talking rudely to me?" she asked with an incredulous expression.

"I never said so."

"Then, can you explain to me why you are on her side instead of me?" she asked angrily.

"I am on Diane's side because she has complained to me countless times that you keep insulting and maltreating her and Melody at the slightest chance. I have cajoled you to stop insulting and maltreating them but you refused to listen," Alpha Denzel replied as he disengaged from me.

Luna Morgana did not respond as she seethed in anger.

"My Luna, as long as you refuse to listen to me and stop maltreating Diane and Melody, I will never be on your side," he said with a tone of finality.

He then turned his head and looked at Melody who was quivering with fear as she gazed at Luna Morgana.

"Melody, come here," he said with a smile as he beckoned to her.

I watched Melody walk slowly toward him.

Then, he pulled her into his arms and before I knew it, he grabbed my wrist and also pulled me into his arms. His right hand was wrapped around me and his left hand was wrapped around Melody.

I felt safe in his big muscular arms wrapped around Melody and me. 

"My two little angels, I don't want you to be sad because of anyone. This is my house and I am the Alpha. I have the final say in this house," he said as he kissed Melody and me on our cheeks.

Suddenly, Luna Morgana hissed loudly and we all turned to look at her.

I watched her as she turned around and stalked to her door. She opened the door, entered, and slammed the door making a loud sound that reverberated in the hallway.

"My angels, it's alright, okay?" Alpha Denzel said with a gentle tone.

Melody and I nodded as we gazed at him.

"Diane, I know the Luna is troublesome and can be very annoying but try not to talk rudely to her. She is my mate and should be respected. Do you understand?" he said.

"Alpha Denzel, I will try but I can't guarantee you," I said.

"I know but just try," he said with a smile and I nodded.

"Now, I want the two of you to smile for me," he said with a grin.

Melody and I smiled widely as he chuckled.

"Good to see the two of you smiling. Now get back to work. I want to go and talk to my Luna," he said as he disengaged from us.

I watched him as he walked majestically to Luna Morgana's door. He opened the door, glanced at us with a smile, and entered the room. Then, he gently shut the door behind him.

For some seconds, I stood staring at the closed door and closed my eyes. I imagined Alpha Denzel holding me in his arms and caressing me.

At that moment, Melody called my name which jolted me from my thoughts.

"Diane, let's get back to work," Melody said as she grabbed my hand.

"Alright," I said with a smile and ruffled her hair.

We picked up our mops and started working.
