Chapter 30 Surprise Guest

With a sigh, Terry looked at me apologetically. "I'm sorry, Adrianna. Let me apologize on Michele's behalf."

I examined him with conflicting emotions warring in me. Finally, I gently shook my head. "Everyone is accountable for their own actions. This has nothing to do with you. Terry, you should leave. Go home and sort out your family matters."

With everyone gone, silence fell once more in the tiny rental unit.
