Alice's POV

I had been noticing a lot ever since Sebastian's mom came to stay with him.

Sebastian frequently seemed distant and lost in thought. I tried to ask him what was bothering him, but he usually brushed it off, saying he was okay.

Don't get me wrong, Sebastian's mom had always been very nice to me, maybe a little too nice. But it appeared that Sebastian didnn't really enjoy or appreciate her kindness.

Since it was the weekend, I decided to surprise Sebastian by coming to his house and cooking a nice meal for him and his mom.

Louisa was easy to get along with. She was quite relatable and loved spending time with me when I was free.

However, I noticed she often asked uncomfortable questions, like how much Sebastian earned at his job and the amount of bonuses he received.

Initially, I thought she was just concerned about her son's financial stability. But when most of our conversations centered around money, I started feeling uncomfortable.

Well, I guess no one is perfect. Everyo

Susan's POV"Come on, Sweetie, let's get going," I said to Isabella as I packed everything we needed.I had plans to take Isabella to the charity foundation I often visited when I had some free time. She was on school vacation, so she would be joining me.I had already messaged Georgina, and she mentioned she was on her way. We usually donated to the charity foundation, sometimes preparing meals in bulk to distribute to orphans, the poor, and those in need.We did this once a month, and if our schedules got too tight, we would send money to support the foundation instead."Did you bring your iPad? You wanted to watch cartoons with Ruth, didn't you?" I asked Isabella. She eagerly nodded, and I led her to the car. Ruth was a new friend she had made at the foundation during our previous visit. Even though they didn't see each other often, their friendship remained strong, and they always looked forward to seeing each other. We arrived at the foundation, and the other volunteers welcomed

Unfortunately, Alex had burned that bridge for me.I called Susan to discuss my weekend plans with her."Hello, Patrick," she greeted me on the phone."Hi, Suzy. How are you?""I have told you not to call me Suzy, Patrick," She complained for the upteenth time which I simply ignored."I want to take Isabella out for the day. I want to spend quality time with our daughter.""What! No! Why do you want to take her away?" She asked guardely."It's just for today. Can't I spend time with her anymore?""If that's the case, come to the house to see her. I will talk to George about it," she insisted."I don't need your husband's permission to spend time with my daughter. I have the right to take her out," I

Isabella swung open the door to the guest room without warning. With a speed of light, I broke the kiss and pushed Patrick away with a force that caused him to fall on the bed."What do you need, Sweetie?" I asked, trying to organize my thoughts and pretend that nothing happened. She complained, "My skirt," and pointed to the one she had on.Suddenly, I remembered I had promised to help her change into a short she preferred, but I wanted to give Patrick his clothes first."Oh, right. I will be with you in a bit," I assured her, and she walked away.Feeling awkward and avoiding eye contact with Patrick, I finally gathered the courage to look at him. He was smirking and obviously enjoying the look of embarrassment on my face."I ho
