Patrick’s POV

It felt like a dream. One minute, I was chasing after Susan to clear things up about what happened between Alex and me, the next minute, I saw a car hit Susan.

I was shocked and screamed her name as I rushed to the scene. It was such a terrible sight, and a crowd gathered pointing at Susan who was lying in a pool of blood.

The driver who hit her quickly stepped out, pleading, " I am sorry, please, she suddenly came out from nowhere. Let's take her to the hospital! She's bleeding a lot."

I wanted to argue and fight with him, but it wasn't the time. I got into his car with Susan in my arms, tears rolling down my cheeks, hoping she would be okay.

My mind went back to Alex. Why did she return and suddenly forced a kiss on me?

I knew Susan was coming to see me because she told me she needed to discuss something important with me but I didn’t expect Alex to actually return after she left the first time.

Was it just a coincidence that Susan walked in right after Alex kissed me
