Author’s pov

Bridget went inside to take her bath and used Taylor's master bedroom bathroom. Her time with Taylor had made her feel comfortable, and her perception of him had shifted. She believed she had captured Taylor's heart and had the power to do as she pleased.

Inside the bathroom, there was a mirror. After finishing her bath, Bridget stood in front of the mirror and admired herself. She playfully swayed her ample breasts, thinking to herself,

"I wonder if he'll fall for me because of this? I could see him stealing glances at my breasts when I first entered the house."

Bridget emerged from the bathroom wearing Taylor's white boxers. Instead of his shirt, she opted for his white singlet, which accentuated her breasts from various angles. The edges near her armpits, her cleavage, and her nipples were prominently displayed.

With a joyful and confident demeanor, Bridget returned to the living room to join Taylor. As she walked, her breasts swayed with each step she took. Whe

Larisa's pov Since I informed my mother about my decision to leave Taylor on the very evening I arrived at her house, her expression clearly indicated her dissatisfaction with my choice. Her initial response was to urge me to reconsider, and I distinctly recalled her only statement: "Larisa, there are hardly any relationships without their ups and downs." She skillfully changed the subject, successfully diverting my attention. The next day, before heading to work and right after breakfast, she asked, "My sweetheart, how is Taylor?" "Mum, the last time I saw and heard from him, he was fine, and his leg was improving." "You mean the last time? What about last night? Didn't you hear from him?" "How many times must I reiterate that I refuse to answer his calls? When I informed you that I had made up my mind to end our relationship, you didn't take me seriously." "Larisa, isn't this the same Taylor you always spoke highly of whenever I inquired about him some months ago?"

Larisa's pov I wonder why my mom would go and meet Taylor at his house. What could they have discussed? My mom seriously suggested that I should go back to Taylor. I know it's because of the help he provided when she was seriously ill. Will I always be the one making sacrifices in this situation? I can't bear it. I found myself talking to myself in my office when suddenly I felt a strong urge to talk to Dylan again. This feeling was so intense that I had no choice but to give in to it. It has been happening for several weeks now, and every day I can't stop thinking about Dylan. However, Dylan remains stubborn about our relationship, though he can't say no to it. What is he afraid of? I took out my phone and dialed his number. Even before he answered, I couldn't help but smile. But in every call, I find myself accusing him of something he did to me. "Hello, honey. How was your night? When will you invite me to New York?" "My Dear," he paused. "Why are you afraid of your bro

Author's pov "Sarah, I'm telling you, I couldn't believe it. I was emotionally violated." Gianna paused, anger evident in her gestures. "Don't tell me Dylan touched you without your consent." "If he had touched me, it would have been easier to handle," Gianna replied, standing up. It was the weekend, and she had come to visit Sarah at home. "Please, help me understand. What actually happened? You stayed at Dylan's place, how did it go? But first, please sit down." Gianna couldn't bring herself to sit. She took a step back and walked to the back of the couch, appearing restless. Sarah allowed her to express her feelings, letting her move around without saying a word. She thought it might help Gianna. However, when Gianna continued pacing and tapping the floor with her feet, Sarah caught her attention. "I know you're hurting, but this won't solve the issue you're facing. Did Dylan touch you or not?" Sarah's voice became more intense, drawing Gianna's focus. Gianna took a dee

Author's pov Taylor heard the sound of a car horn outside his house, a familiar sound. "Isn't that Gabriel?" he thought, a smile lighting up his face. It was noon, and Taylor was the only one at home. He hurriedly got up and went to the door, filled with excitement. As he reached the door and opened it, his expectations were met. "Gabriel...! I thought you said you'd be back tomorrow." "Yes, sorry about that. All the same, it's nice to be here. Is your leg healing quickly?" "Yes, please come inside. I'm thrilled you came even earlier. Gabriel, look at you. You left the country, and I really missed you. No person like you in my life.” He smiled. "I missed you too. I'm sorry I couldn't make it to your parents' anniversary." "Hmm..." Taylor hummed as he sat down gently. "It makes me so happy to see you again. I hope your work won't keep us apart for this long again," Taylor asked, and they both laughed. "Are you home alone?" Gabriel glanced at his watch and then at Tayl

  • Resisting My Best Friend's Dad    No going back

Larisa’s pov The following day, I left home without informing my mother of where I was going. She knew I wasn’t going to work again and I simply mentioned that I wanted to meet someone. As soon as I stepped outside, I took a taxi and headed straight to the hospital. At my usual medical facility, they collected some samples from me for testing, and I was instructed to wait for the results. To my surprise, the doctor assigned to my case was Dr. Vivian, who happened to be Gabriel's girlfriend, Taylor's closest friend. I had seen her accompanying her boyfriend to Taylor's house on several occasions. As she entered her office where I was already sitting down, she held an envelope in her right hand. "When was your last menstrual period?" she asked. "It was early last month," I responded absentmindedly, gazing at the doctor without giving it much thought. "What about this month?" she pressed further. "I'm still expecting it. Sometimes, it arrives late..." "Expect it no longer b

  • Resisting My Best Friend's Dad    I am afraid of going back

Larisa’s pov The first thing I did was to immediately end Taylor's call, leaving me utterly shocked and compelled to stand up. "Oh my god! No, no, Dylan, you can't do this to me. Why?" I exclaimed, unaware of my mum's inquiries. "Larisa, what's wrong? What's the matter?" she asked, but I paid her no attention. I couldn't hear her at that moment. I sat down and pressed my fingers against my chin. "What are you hiding? What's wrong?" My mum raised her voice, yet I wasn't willing to divulge what had just transpired. Then Taylor called me a second time, and I observed the phone ring and subsequently ended the call. My mum noticed and remained silent, gazing at me as I displayed an unusual demeanor. We both knew it was Taylor calling again, and my mum awaited an explanation for my distress. "What's going on, Larisa? How many times do I have to ask?" she spoke up. To compound matters, my mum's phone began ringing, and I realized it was Taylor when she showed me the screen.

  • Resisting My Best Friend's Dad    What are you doing here?

Larisa's pov I let my phone ring, and the call ended. I knew he would call back almost immediately, and within a few seconds, my phone rang again. What should I say to him? Deep down, I felt furious, but I decided to answer the call. "Hello..." For the first time we spoke, I chose not to use any endearing term. "What's going on, Larisa?"I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. It seemed like he thought he was talking to a clueless little girl. "Hello, Larisa," he said when he didn't hear my voice. "You don't sound like yourself. What's happening? I'm confused. What did I do?" "Who told Taylor that I'm pregnant?" I asked. "I never told Taylor. In fact, we haven't spoken in the past four days. Why would I tell him when you didn't ask me to?" "Dylan, please listen to me. Your reaction when I told you about my pregnancy made it clear that you told him. I don't want to argue. I answered your call so you would stop calling me. Please don't call me again." I ended the call. As s

  • Resisting My Best Friend's Dad    Thin line between love and hate

Author’s pov As Larisa's mother failed to hear her daughter's voice or identify who had entered the house, she cautiously reduced the flame of her cooking gas and stepped out of the kitchen. Upon reaching the living room, she discovered the sitting room was empty. "Where has Larisa gone?" she pondered silently, noticing the open exit door. She proceeded out of the living room and spotted Larisa standing at a distance. Initially, she thought Taylor was beside her, engaged in an argument. However, the closer she approached, the clearer it became that the person standing with her was not Taylor, but an exact replica. "Believe me, I can swear on anything you want me to..." Dylan's voice trailed off as both he and Larisa were engrossed in their argument, oblivious to Larisa's mother's presence. "Larisa..." Her words startled them, and they immediately fell silent. Larisa couldn't hide her frustration as she stomped her right foot on the ground. "You must be Taylor's..." "Twin b

Author’s pov Taylor was very anxious and he was very uncomfortable as things were going. This wasn't what he and Gabriel and the nurse they had already paid had planned. The high ranking doctor wasn't around and no one could administer any drug to Larisa without his approval. When the time was 4pm, Taylor took Gabriel for the third time and they went out. “What's happening? I'm running out of patience. This is not what we planned. Larisa and the baby are doing fine. What are you waiting for?” “I don't think we can do anything now. I guess it will be tomorrow.” “Tomorrow? I overheard the doctor saying that she is strong and she can go home tomorrow. Is this what we planned?” Taylor asked. “Why can't we give her the drug in your house? It will be very easy that time. The nurse we are using will be the one to administer it.” “I am getting the feeling that something is going wrong somewhere.” Taylor said. “Don't have that thinking.” “Why will I not have that thinking? "What's the problem?" Gabriel askedas he sensed Taylor's panic. "I guess Larisa is in labor." "How do you know?" Gabriel asked. The thought out plan is about to be ruined." Taylor and his friend,

Larisa's pov Why wouldn't I continue to love Dylan? Initially, I had my doubts about whether he would accept what I had to tell him. Deep down, it was a test, and he didn't know that I was about to judge him based on his response. From what I gathered from Dylan's parents, he didn't like visiting his hometown. And after he shared with me what Taylor had done to him, I understood why he rarely went there. But because of the love he had for me, he had decided to accompany me to Taylor's house when it’s due for me to give birth. I still remember when Dylan took his phone and called Taylor, saying, "Hi Taylor, I have seen Larisa..." "That's wonderful," Taylor sounded genuinely excited, and Dylan put his phone on speaker mode so that I could hear their conversation clearly. "But she mentioned something that makes it difficult for her to come." "What's that?" Taylor asked eagerly. "She said she can't come alone to your house. Why is she so afraid? Have you ever hit her whe

  • Resisting My Best Friend's Dad    Dylan once loved someone

Larisa’s pov It's been eight hours since Dylan told me about his relationship with Tessy. Now I understand why Dylan hesitated to pursue me, even though he had feelings for me. He was afraid it would seem like payback if he chose me. I can see his concerns clearly. It doesn't mean he doesn't love me, but it would appear calculated and vengeful. If I were the judge in his case with Taylor, I would say Taylor deserves the payback. Why would he act so wickedly? Jealousy! But it's not anyone's fault if he couldn't treat a woman well. Right now, I can't stay with Taylor anymore. It's like those girls he dated who ended the relationship and ran away. It also justifies my decision to escape from his manipulative hostility. As I continued to reflect on every word Dylan said and compared it to his and Taylor's past, I noticed a clear contrast. I couldn't sit on my bed any longer, analyzing my thoughts. My feet urged me to move around the house. Dylan had left for an important appointment,

Dyan’s pov The next day, by coincidence, I called Tessy in the morning and asked her to come to my place at 5 pm. This happened without Taylor's knowledge. However, it sparked Tessy's desire to meet Taylor at the bar at 4 pm, and she kept it a secret from me.At 3:30 pm, Taylor got ready, took a shower, and dressed nicely. As he was about to leave the house, I jokingly said, "Looks like you found someone new." He smiled at me and left in his car. Our dad was wealthy and made sure we had everything we needed.Because Tessy was eager, she arrived at Keans bar before Taylor, who was driving. Taylor called Tessy from his car, asking, "Where are you?" "I'm already inside the bar," she replied. "Please come out," he said when he spotted someone he knew, and that person also knew Tessy as my girlfriend.Tessy came out, wearing a brown dress with black dots on the front. When she saw Taylor's car, she walked closer to it. "Get inside. Come inside," he said quickly, opening the car doo

  • Resisting My Best Friend's Dad    How it happened

Dylan’s pov "Quit being envious of what your brother has..." These were the words spoken by my mother when Taylor and I were still very young. She was talking to Taylor, and as a mother, she had noticed our contrasting personalities. She observed that whatever belonged to me always caught Taylor's attention. Taylor was never content with his own possessions and often neglected to take care of them. When we were kids, Taylor had a strong, muscular physique, which gave him an advantage over me when it came to forcefully claiming ownership. In the absence of our parents, he would become domineering, and I would quickly give up what was mine to avoid any physical confrontation. At first, I thought this was normal, but as we entered our teenage years, I realized it was escalating. It felt like I was living in bondage, where the only way to escape was by willingly giving away what was rightfully mine. When our parents were around, he would behave appropriately, and everything I had woul

  • Resisting My Best Friend's Dad    Is Tessy your girlfriend?

Author's pov "It's not about whether I read the text, but it's the content of the text and the urgency to talk to you. She called you ten times. I saw her myself. I was the one who opened the door for her when she came to your parents' house when your mom invited me. Your mum even wanted us to get to know each other. She introduced her as your girlfriend and introduced me as Taylor's girlfriend." Larisa paused and looked at Dylan. "Aren't you going to say anything?" she asked. "You've been the one talking," he responded. "Okay, let me ask you the question again. Who is Tessy?"Dylan let out a big sigh and tried to stomp his foot on the floor. "My love, this isn't the right time to tell you about her. It's too early. It's only the second day of your stay here..." "Are you hiding something from me? Don't you know that as women, we don't like secrets in a relationship? We want to know everything about our partner. It gives us a sense of security. Let's be honest with each oth

Author’s pov Dylan was still taken aback by Taylor's sudden appearance and didn't have a moment to go inside and inform Larisa. He tried to gather himself and opened the door, allowing Taylor to enter, assuming Larisa hadn't heard them. "How did you manage to get to New York so early?" Dylan kept his gaze fixed on Taylor as he took a seat on the chair to the right. "Excuse me, let me change my clothes," Dylan quickly said, leaving the living room and heading inside, where he spotted Larisa standing near the door, eavesdropping. "How did he find out I was in New York?" Larisa whispered, her voice hushed. "I don't know, he must have taken the night flight. Stay calm, stay here. Let me go and talk to him. I came here to inform you," Dylan replied, forgetting to change out of his nightwear. His primary intention was to let Larisa know that his brother was around, unaware that she had overheard their conversation. When Dylan returned to the living room, still clad in his nightgow

Larisa’s pov There's no greater feeling than knowing that the mission you're about to take will lead you to see the most enchanting person in your life. That's exactly how I felt when I left Taylor's parents' house, pretending I was going to a nearby grocery store to pick up a few things. Dyan had already booked a flight for me. All I had to do was leave the house and make my way to the airport. It was as simple as that. Out of love and affection, I left my clothes and bag behind, not wanting to leave any traces of my departure. What can compare to the bliss of love and laughter? Nothing! Not even the expensive clothes Taylor bought for me. Material possessions can be replaced anytime, but my love for Dyan is irreplaceable.
