Chapter thirteen

Amidst the incoherent conversation around me, I attempt to feel my body. I flutter my eyes open and confusion clouds my gaze as I struggle to grasp my surroundings.

Eventually, my gaze locks onto Alpha Damon's first mate, Serafina, and for a moment a silent exchange passes between us as recognition dawns on me and memories from the first time we met resurface in my mind.

Two months ago, we met in Mystwood. Serafina was the lupine hybrid I had treated with the special plants I had painstakingly searched the wood for the whole day. Yet now, she dares to steal my mate with my own scent.

I don’t know how she manipulates my scent to confuse Alpha Damon and make him believe she's his mate, but I will do everything to expose her evil schemes.

“Alpha Damon, you want us to start afresh, don't you?” I throw at the Black Pack Alpha abruptly. I know I am declaring war and Serafina’s intense gaze fixated on my face makes it clear that she also won't back off.

My eyes widen in shock when I
