From the thick emotions in Alpha Damon’s voice, Declan discerns that he must be coming in that direction. “

“Did you go back for her and she didn't refuse to return with you?” He questions, a hint of impish in his tone,

The Alpha swiftly responds with a firm, “no” before clearing his throat as he realizes that he had been too distracted to ask her to go back with him.

Declan fights back a hysterical laugh as he observes Alpha Damon adjusting his trousers. It’s now that he believes that his cousin has found his mate. Two months ago, when he came back with an unknown woman, claiming that she was his mate, he wasn't as possessive as this.

“Why are you still here?” Damon's voice is deep and authoritative as he speaks to Declan.

Declan, recognizing the return of his Alpha’s cold nature, playfully teases for the last time, “Are you bringing her back to sleep with her? Should we be expecting a new addition to our Blackthorne family?”
