Ivy's POV

Without wasting even a second, the maids push me into the washroom with rough, unyielding force.

“Wait!” I protest, trying to push back, but their overbearing attitude makes me feel like I’m some sort of servant to them.

“Take the jacket off,” the first maid commands.

“No, you can’t—” I fiddle with the hems anxiously.

They don’t even pretend to listen. One of them yanks the jacket off me with a rough tug. As they expose the dress underneath, their mocking laughter fills the room.

“Oh, I get it now!” The second maid exclaims. “You’re no one special. You’re just some whore who seduced Prince Spencer into bringing you back to the castle.”

“I’m not a whore!” I protest indignantly. I reach for the jacket, but the maids pull it out of reach. “I’m an Alpha’s daughter.”

“If you’re going to lie, at least make it convincing,” the first maid says, looking me up and down with a raised eyebrow. “You don’t even have a wolf. There’s no way you could possibly be of Alpha blood.”

Ivy's POVEarly the next morning, before I even woke up, a crowd of maids rushed into my room.I gasp and sit up straight, but already the maids are tugging me out of bed. “What are you doing?” I ask, trying to pull the blankets tight and shake them off, but it’s no use.“Helping you,” one of the maids replies mockingly, pulling me onto the floor. The flurry of maids guides me through my morning routine, washing me up and dressing me in another fine gown–this one a pale green like lily pads. The bath is a bit better this time, and at least no soap bars are being pressed into my slowly-healing wounds. They’re not behaving like maids should, though–their movements are rough and pain-inducing, causing me to wince with every move they make. I have to bite back screams with every minute, knowing that any sound I make will only provoke more ridicule from the maids. I know they think I’m a whore, but I don’t think I could stand to hear it again. Once I’ve finished washing and getting d

Ivy's POV“Take off your clothes.”Prince Spencer's cold command rattles me to my core. I gape up at him in shock, touching the neckline of the leaf-green gown, completely unsure of myself. I know I might be humiliated by Spencer, but when the moment actually comes, I can’t help but tremble with fear. My hand slowly moves up my back, reaching for the delicate zipper, but I bite my lip to suppress my cry of pain as my arm seizes up. I cradle my arm against my chest, the pain from one of my wounds lancing through the limb, then reach back to try and unzip it again. I think Spencer notices me biting my lip, because he walks behind me, brushing his fingertips feather-light against my shoulder before taking the zipper from me. When our hands touch, I feel an unfamiliar sensation of pleasure start to spread through my body.I’ve never felt this way before. I can feel Spencer towering over me. His presence envelopes me as he stands behind me, an absolute force to be reckoned with. I can’

Ivy's POVI gaped up at Spencer in confusion, still trying to process what he’s said through the haze of lust clouding my thoughts.‘Hungry?’ He’d asked. Right.I nod, a bit sheepish. “It’s been awhile since I’ve eaten. I..um... Couldn’t find the dining hall.”Spencer extends his hand to me in a gentlemanly manner. I don’t quite understand what he wants from me, but I still place my hand in his. Compared to him, it’s tiny. Spencer hauls me up from the bed with ease, then reaches down and gathers my clothes from the floor. After he helps me put on my bra and panties, hands lingering on my breasts and hips, he slips the dress over my head and zips it up for me. I can’t help but feel surprised by his actions. Is Spencer choosing not to sleep with me because I’m hungry? Does it find it off-putting? He doesn’t seem angry, though. In fact, he seems to be looking out for me. As I continue to lose myself in my thoughts, my gaze suddenly latches onto Spencer’s. Maybe my confusion is too app

Spencer's POVWhen I get to my father’s office–the office of the Lycan King–I already know I’m in trouble.“Spencer!” My father says when I walk into his office, fixing me with his usual stern expression. “We need to talk.”I close the door behind me and take a seat opposite him. “Yes, Father.”“Did you buy a girl from the Omega auction?” My father asks. I simply nodded, not intending to say much more.“And did you bring her back here to the palace?” Once again, I nodded. He looks at me in shock. “Two years ago, a maid tried to seduce you, and you had her executed immediately. Since then, every she-wolf in the kingdom has been too scared to even approach you. Every one of them desires you, but don’t dare disturb you. Simply put, the women of this kingdom are terrified of you. No she-wolf has ever been held close to your heart. Could it be… is this girl your mate?”My father’s words remind me of the first time I saw her. Ivy. It was at the wedding of that Alpha and his wretched Luna

Ivy's POVAfter Spencer leaves, I abandon all pretense of etiquette and begin to devour my food hungrily. I eat as if there’s no tomorrow, trying to consume as much as possible. As the food slides down my tongue, tears involuntarily stream down my face. It’s been ages since I’ve tasted such fresh and plentiful food. When I finally finish my meal, I make the decision to head back to my room. The moment I leave the dining hall, though, I realize I have absolutely no idea where I am. The castle is so large, I get lost in the winding hallways and corridors in no time. It’s built like the maze–every hall looks the same. Just as I’ve given up hope on trying to navigate the palace, I spot a slight maid polishing a picture frame.“Hello?” I call out tentatively. The maid turned around. Surprise flashed in her eyes when she saw me, but she quickly regained her composure. “Yes, ma’am,” she smiles politely, softly inquiring, “What can I do for you?”“Oh, that’s so kind of you, thank you,” I sa

  • Rescuing His Enslaved Luna Queen   Chapter 16:The Window of Life

Ivy's POVI don’t understand why the maids hate me so much.I pace the floor of the room restlessly, frustrated tears pooling in my eyes. The dust covering the floor and hovering in the air makes my nose itch, making it a horrible place to pace in, but what else am I supposed to do? I’m trapped, completely and utterly. I haven’t done anything to any of the maids–they shouldn’t have any reason to despise me based on any of my actions. Is it because I’ve been labeled as an auction girl? Or maybe it’s because I don’t have a wolf? But all of that is based on rumors, and far from the actual truth. None of what’s happened to me has been my fault. I’m an Alpha’s daughter, and I once had a wolf–I only lost that connection because I was forced to drink wolfsbane. Maybe it’s because I’m so weak now that they all hate me so much? But I’ve never done anything to harm them. Or maybe it’s because of Spencer. He is, after all, incredibly charming. And handsome. I wouldn’t be surprised if every

Spencer's POVIvy is missing.I stare at the doorway of her room, which is wide-open and vacant. All the lights were off when I got here, bed still freshly made from this morning. There was a glass of water on her nightstand. Her pajamas were folded neatly under her pillow.Simply put, the bedroom is exactly as it was when we left for breakfast. And Ivy hasn’t returned.I pace back and forth frantically. I’d returned to the room to see her–I wanted to see her, but she’s nowhere to be found. Is she lost? It’s a big castle, sure, but there are plenty of staff here who’d be able to take her to her room. Even if Ivy had wandered outside to explore the grounds a bit, surely she’d have returned inside by now. It’s dark outside–it’s been dark for awhile now.Has she left the castle? No. There are guards everywhere, and they would have reported to me immediately if she had left.‘Beta Roger’ I quickly mind-link my Beta, ‘the girl I brought back from the auction is missing. Ivy's POVI’m on the run, and I need to move.Fast.Though my wolf is gone now, my senses are still sharp, and I can hear the voices of warriors in the distance shouting directions to one another. As I crouch in the grass, fear grips my heart in a tight fist. The voices are getting closer. And I have no idea where to go.I need to consider where Spencer thinks I am–whether he thinks I’m missing, or whether he knows I’m running away. The consequences of those two possibilities would be wildly different in terms of how he treats me. While Spencer has been good to me so far, I know that running away would most likely make him angry. He did buy me, after all–I’m under no delusions that he truly cares for me. Maybe I’m just some toy he picked up at the auction, something he can play with patiently for as long as I’m obedient. Maybe he gets off on spoiling me. But if it’s all under the condition that I play nice, I have no idea how he’d react to my escaping. I’m not following orders now.

  • Rescuing His Enslaved Luna Queen   Chapter 389: Surrender

Spencer’s POVThis time, as I walk out onto the almost-still battlefield, I can feel the full force of my power returning to me. Heads swivel in my direction as I approach the center of the battleground. My Lycan aura crackles around me, a silhouette of pure power that follows behind me everywhere I step. Thanks to the Moon Goddess’s blessing as well as Ivy’s rejuvenation, I feel good again. Strong. I know I could control everyone on this field right now if I wanted to, but I don’t need to. Not yet. Right now, the gentle coercion of my Lycan aura around me is all I need. Ivy follows behind me. I can tell by the rhythm of her gait that she’s anxious to get out of here as soon as possible. I can’t see her, but I know her well enough by now that I can guess her gaze is darting around anxiously, eyeing every enemy in sight. But the longer I walk, the more confidence in my step, the more the sounds of battle start to quiet. Soon enough, the only sound to be heard is the soft pad of my f

  • Rescuing His Enslaved Luna Queen   Chapter 388: Showing Mercy

Ivy’s POVWhile the scattered sounds of combat continue to fill the air, by and large, it seems that the battle has begun to come to a close. The last werewolf rebels are continuing to attack every Lycan warrior they see, but our enemy’s numbers have been considerably thinned. Now, the rebels are few and far between, sticking out like sore thumbs as they attempt to take down our ranks. It’s clear that we could still lose quite a few more lives at this point, but it would be meaningless. The battle has been won. It’s over. Anything else that happens now is just tying up the loose ends. “What happens now?” I ask Spencer softly, taking a look around. Wilson is still on the ground, writhing in agony as the silver spray continues to worm its way into his skin. My heart twinges with sympathy for him, but there’s nothing Spencer or I could do to alleviate the pain. Nearby, I can see Gamma Everly kneeling over Alpha Leo’s unconscious–hopefully unconscious, that is–body. Everywhere I look

  • Rescuing His Enslaved Luna Queen   Chapter 387: Belonging

Ivy’s POVI leap towards the witch without a moment’s hesitation. She lets out a shrill scream and tries to angle her antlers towards me. The side of one of the antlers cuts into my left arm, but it’s a shallow enough wound not to faze me, and I’m able to use the momentum against her and send her tumbling to the ground. The witch’s body is cold, uncannily so, and I can feel shivers starting to run through me as I press my paw against her throat. But the blood spilling from her severed hand is warm, and beneath all the strange magic etched into her being, she does seem to be alive. Which means she could, feasibly, be killed. “You’ll never get away with this!” The witch shrieks. Her voice seems to be going up to unnatural heights that I’m only able to hear due to my enhanced senses. “Jason is my son. You’ll never understand him like I could. He’ll never belong with you! You’re sentencing him to life as an outcast. Put your own cruelty and selfish wants aside for just one second. The

  • Rescuing His Enslaved Luna Queen   Chapter 386: Last Stand

Spencer’s POVIvy and I exchange a single look, and it’s like we can read each other’s minds. Without even having to speak the words aloud, we turn away from Elder Jet’s corpse in unison and rush towards the ongoing scuffle. After having spent so long stuck on this battlefield together, and thanks to the months we’ve spent learning more and more about one another, strengthening our bonds, it feels like we’ve moved past typical forms of communication in so many ways. Ivy and I don’t need to tell each other our strategy–as I make my way behind the witch, and as Ivy swiftly leaps in front of her, I know what she’s trying to do. Ivy throws her body between the witch and Wilson. “Stay back!” She snarls, teeth snapping wickedly. Her snow white fur is streaked with blood, like berries crushed underfoot on a cold winter day. “Elder Jet is dead now. His cause is ruined. There’s nothing for you here.” “Foolish girl,” the witch rasps, extending her free hand and pointing one long finger towar

  • Rescuing His Enslaved Luna Queen   Chapter 385: No Cause

Ivy’s POVAs I scan the battlefield impatiently, doing my best to figure out where I could be the most helpful, all I can see is need. Spencer’s announcement on how to best take down the rebel werewolves has certainly been incredibly beneficial to the Lycan warriors. As I watch the battle continue to play out, the warriors are now employing tactics more or less reliant on grace or dexterity to make sure they can have the upper hand as much as possible. And while it’s encouraging to see the warriors continuing to make the best of the situation they’re in, adapting to the difficulties of such ruthless and magically enhanced opponents, there’s still so much death here. The Lycan warriors are getting more and more exhausted with each second that passes, and one side effect of those blasted potions seems to be enhanced stamina. Despite all our efforts to make sure the warriors have as much support as possible to do what they need to do and conclude this battle once and for all, we’re sti

  • Rescuing His Enslaved Luna Queen   Chapter 384: Finality

Spencer’s POVThe skin of Elder Jet’s throat splits like silk beneath my claws. The last sound he ever makes is a small gasp, as though even after everything he’s said about accepting his fate, he’s still somehow surprised that I’d actually do it. For just a few moments, blood gushes liberally from the ragged wound in his throat–his weak heart pumping out blood with its last bits of strength. But as soon as his heart gives out, the blood flow stops its torrent. I raise my gaze back up to Elder Jet’s face. I want to feel something as I look over him–the wounds marring his features, his matted, stained fur, the glassy lifelessness in his eyes–but I don’t feel a thing. I pull away from Elder Jet slowly, staring at his corpse splayed out on the grass. This is the man who tried to kill me. Who tried to kill Ivy. Who succeeded in killing my father. He’s twisted and manipulated the minds of countless young werewolves, many of whom are no doubt dead thanks to him. Every action in his miser

  • Rescuing His Enslaved Luna Queen   Chapter 383: Figurehead

Spencer’s POVWhen I see Elder Jet pinned beneath Ivy’s strong hold, the first thing I feel is pride. Over the course of knowing her, I’ve seen Ivy reclaim her own strength and power against all odds. When no one else believed in her, she believed in herself, and she’s been able to accomplish amazing things because of it. The sight of her now, able to so easily control such a powerful and influential man despite having been teetering on the verge of death so long ago… I’m so proud of her. I stalk towards Ivy and Elder Jet with a bold grin. “Thank you for taking care of him, Ivy,” I say. “Would you like me to handle things from here?” “It would be my pleasure,” Ivy replies. She strikes him across the face–just once, swiftly and harshly enough to open up a rather sizeable welt on his upper right cheek. As Elder Jet is still reeling from the blow, Ivy releases her hold on him and allows me to take her place. Before Elder Jet can even register the switch, I’ve got him firmly in my gr

Ivy’s POVThe sensation of Elder Jet’s skin tearing beneath my claws is one of the best things I’ve felt in a long, long time. Elder Jet lets out a sharp cry of pain as my claws rip into him. I can feel hot splashes of blood splattering up onto me, and I only curl my talons deeper. Elder Jet’s cry bleeds into a shout as I rip my paw back, tearing a ragged hunk of flesh out of his shoulder. “You,” Elder Jet snarls, looking up at me with an expression of profound loathing as he curls his lip at me and takes a step back. “Me,” I repeat with a smug grin, shaking the bits of viscera out of my claws. Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Gamma Everly doing her best to limp away. Elder Jet doesn’t pay her any mind, though. His gaze is focused on me like a laser, and I can tell I’m his only focus right now. “You should be dead right now,” Elder Jet stammers out. His speech is already starting to slur from the blood loss. “After that potion we gave you, after the injuries, after–I killed

  • Rescuing His Enslaved Luna Queen   Chapter 381: An Old Enemy

Ivy’s POVThe moment Spencer gets tossed back into the throes of battle, I know the final wave of combat has begun. I don’t waste a moment before shifting into my wolf form. I can feel the familiar surge of power rushing through my body. Every flex of my muscles, every arch and twist of my graceful limbs seems to be crackling with barely-restrained strength. My fur is as white as pure snow right now, but I know it’s only a matter of time before it becomes stained pomegranate red. My razor-sharp fangs, sharp as knives, are bared menacingly as I look around expectantly and grin. “None of you could kill me!” I shout, muzzle turned upwards towards the sky. I let out a victorious howl. “No matter how hard you try, you can’t stop me!” I pad back and forth, feeling the clots of dirt beneath my paws. Out of the corner of my eye, I can spot the wrought-iron cage that was used to hold me. I lunge towards it, a growl rumbling in the base of my throat, and twist its metal bars until the cage i
