While It's Raining

When Jeric returned to their small palace, his mother immediately confronted him.

"Where did you go? We've been waiting for you here for a long time," Mrs. Jones said to Jeric in a hard voice, obviously didn't like what her son did. "And Mary still needs to find you first before you think of coming home."

"I went to the villagers as you're planning to kick them out from the land they lived, Mom," Jeric replied in the same hard voice. "Why didn't you consult with me about this first, Mom? What's the point of being the leader if you're still the one who decides."

Mrs. Jones did not answer immediately as she knew that Jeric was so upset. She forced herself to calm down as they would definitely fight if she also became upset.

"Okay, okay. Calm down first and let's talk about this," Mrs. Jones said in a calm voice and sighed as she sat down on the sofa.

Jeric followed and calmly sat down next to his mother.
