The Confrontation

"S-Sure," Lany replied as she looked at Jeric, although she was still very nervous. She just forced herself to act normal in front of him.

"Can you really do it, forget your feelings for her?" Lany asked seriously while staring at Dylan as if she has a lot of resentment towards him.

Dylan didn't answer right away. He suddenly felt awkward because of her question to him as if she wanted to convey something.

Then they fell silent for a few more seconds and Dylan was already hesitating to answer.

"I think it's enough. It's almost two o'clock in the morning," Mondrei said after checking the time on his wristwatch. "Let's just finish this inside," he said as he pointed to the beers that were not being touched yet.

After saying those words, Mondrei then stood up and started bringing the beers and barbecue inside. Dylan stood up as well and immediately helped Mondrei.
