37. Speak up, Paige.

April's POV

I watched as Conrad walked away, and I found my way back to my classroom. I had missed my shifting class, and when I returned to my classroom, all my classmates stared at me. I could see the questions in their eyes, but I ignored them and took my seat.

I quickly scanned the classroom, but there was no sign of Lucy. We probably didn't have this class together, and I made a mental note to meet with her later in the cafeteria. I pulled out my phone, sent her a quick text, and put my phone away as soon as the teacher walked into the classroom.

The class was in session, and I groaned in frustration. It was my worst class yet - calculus.

I spent the entire period trying my best not to be confused and lost in the array of numbers and symbols. I still couldn't wrap my head around it, and I was so relieved when the bell rang for break time.
