The feeling of someone placing long kisses on my neck begins to stir me out of my sleep, groaning in annoyance and turning away slightly to continue with my beauty rest, I attempt to ignore it all. But the longer this person trailed kisses all over my skin, the more my wolf purred in excitement filling my body with such a rush of energy that I couldn’t have fallen back to sleep even if I tried! “I know you’re no longer asleep.” Archer’s raspy morning voice whispers into my ear, his action sending such intense shivers to rush through my body allowing my eyes to open. “Yes Mr Alpha, how can I help you?” I ask turning my face to look at him laying beside me with the biggest smirk on his lips, his face drawing even closer to mine. “In the past, that name had the ability to fill me with such anger, but now you have used it in some of our most intermit moments, it tends to have the opposite effect.” He whispers but now such a deep feeling of desire clung to each of his words, where I
After getting to train with Archer a little more one to one and attempting to theorise what other powers I may have and what emotions could trigger them, Archer explained how he wanted to stand in and see what progress I had been able to make with the group of fighters I train with Greg. It’s always nice to hear what positive things people have to say about the men, I could see first hand what they were like before, the disrespect that some of them had shown to me when I first arrived, I did worry they would never accept me. After some work, they are now some of the nicest men I have met and are always the first to offer me some help in training. I knew when Greg gave me the fighters, not many people held high hopes for me or them, but I’m glad we’ve been able to prove them all wrong. Archer and I stood in the little equipment building as the men began to file into the training ground, most were laughing and joking with one another whilst Archer watched. “Are you coming out with
Once the training session had concluded, Archer and I didn’t have time to sit down and rest, we had to get back, showered and off to our next task of the day. I had offhandedly told Archer the night of my birthday that I wanted to attend one of his meetings with the officials, I had forgotten all about it until Emmett let it slip that I was attending after the King’s visit. I wasn’t too sure what kind of things are spoken about in these meetings, I know with me being an Alpha’s daughter, I should know all the intricate details that come with running and maintaining a pack. Most things, yes, I could write a book on but others such as official meetings, I knew nothing about. Once my mother died, my father went insane as like you already know which in turn, changed everything our little pack used to be. The first thing to go was the number of officials and the power the ones who remained had, in most cases, the Alpha and the Luna of each pack set the rules and decide what they should
Once that sentence had left the repulsive man’s mouth, it was as though someone had thrown me in a lake of freezing water, my entire body felt like an ice block. I suppose I had never given it much thought on who would have dealt my mother her last blow, when you’re thrown into a sea of grief and given my young age, I was more focused on my mother no longer being there. But if I were to think of it, I would have guessed it would be the Alpha, I mean he was the Alpha after all and the man the King had appointed to get the job done. But now to hear this man tell me he was the one that truly took my mother away from me, it was as though I was hit with her loss all over again. “I remember the day well, I was the lead fighter at the time so when Alpha Alexander came to me the previous night and explained the mission, I was more than ready to heed his orders and do what I could to ensure the mission was a success.” The man begins to say recounting the day, whilst I still stood frozen in p
The longer my hands remained clenched, the more this malicious, evil and dangerous creature in front of me clawed at his throat as though his attempts were going to release the pressure. The once vibrant room seemed to grow darker with each passing second, with a freezing wind and dark invisible clouds over our heads, it was as though we were in the middle of a storm. Emmett and Archer remained either side of me, both in a state of shock as they watched me use my unearthly powers in a way none of us were expecting. “I hadn’t come across this being one of your powers through my research.” Emmett spoke watching as the man in front of us was close to passing out all together, but neither man went forward to do anything to stop it. “It’s just how I said when we first met dearest Emmett, never show anybody your full hand.” I say in my own dark and twisted voice, I had yet to use my Luna voice, but I had to imagine we were seeing a little glimmer from her in this moment. With a smir
After Archer and I had concluded the special kind of discussion, he wished us to have, he was called away to go and deal with some rouge that had been found at the edge of the border. We were both a little confused for a moment, normally, the border guards deal with rouges and only give a report to the Alpha and Luna at the end of the month detailing how many had appeared in case it becomes a problem. The guards expressed how this rouge had been saying some peculiar things, so they deemed it appropriate for the Alpha to go and speak with the rouge and find out what was happening. So, whilst Archer left to deal with some odd rouge, I went along with Emmett to his office to prepare for the peace treaty meeting we’ll be having with my family, which had already been postponed for an hour. All I could seem to do was sit on Archer’s chair, staring up at the ceiling with my mind doing many laps. I had been so overcome with an ungodly amount of rage when that man was speaking, I didn’t ta
The hours seemed to tick by ever so slowly, due to the past relationship the two packs held, it was vital that we go over each and every section of the treaty to ensure each understand the terms to prevent any confusion or anger in the years to come. I had used my powers today more than I had ever before, back at the training grounds with Archer and now when I needed to teach that disrespectful asshole a lesson. I had yet to fully grasp my powers and understand how to control them, this meant each time I used them, I was taking more and more of my energy and throwing into the sea! Now I was left sitting back in my chair forcing my eyes not to drop close as Emmett’s voice continued to read the terms out loud whilst we all followed along. “The reasoning for such a treaty was due to many factors, Alpha Cameron’s Daughter Luna Fern, now mated to Alpha Archer. But also, the growing threat from the King, this section of the treaty will not be public knowledge for obvious reasons.” Emmet
The sound of such intense ringing in my ears jolts me from my sleep, jumping up a little from the mini sofa which Archer keeps in his office, I come to find that I was the only person in the room. Not my family, Emmett or even Archer remained in the room with me, this not only worrying me but also angering me slightly, how dare they leave me in the room whilst they’re off gallivanting somewhere! Before I had time to boil in my anger and turn around to go and find said disrespectful men and tell them a thing or two about manners, I feel a second presence in the room with me. Such a feeling made goosebumps begin to form along my back and down my arms as though I had walked into a freezing cold freezer and my body was reacting in a way to preserve heat. But this time as I did a second scan of the room in hopes of finding the source of this off feeling, I soon find something that not only confirmed why I was feeling the way that I did but shook me deep to my core. My mother, the one
Once the term flesh eaters left his lips, the fear that had somehow appeared in the pit of my stomach remained but also, much confusion along with it. I believe I knew a lot about our world, the vampires, sorcerers, Lycan’s and even hybrids, but I had never come across a term such as that before. “Flesh eaters?” I ask hoping he would be able to explain more and not simply throw a name around and expect us all to understand, where Darren only sighs once again. “Yes, Flesh Eaters, they are a hound of creatures who stalk many areas of the unclaimed territories and capture their prey to well, do what their name implies.” He explains still not giving us a whole lot of answers, before the images I had seen back in the tunnel that I didn’t fully understand clung to my mind. “And why have none of us ever heard about these flesh eaters, if such a creature is known to stalk our borders, we would surely know about it.” Alpha Aidan said cutting in whilst I took myself back to the tunnel and
We all soon arrived in Aidans office, where he had set up four chairs for us to sit, something I knew Archer didn’t appreciate, he enjoys for me to sit on his lap throughout these exchanges and after our little interaction in the car, I knew he was looking forward to the closeness. “Please make yourselves comfortable.” Aidan smiled walking around his desk whilst my family take their coats off and hang them up, before I could do that very thing, Archer comes up behind me and helps me to take mine off. Sending him a smile as a thank you, he hangs up my coat along with his before quickly pulling out my chair for me. With a chuckle, I reach up to place a kiss on his cheek before sitting down, where he was soon by my side in an instant. “Your mother would be so happy.” Aidan said watching the exchange that Archer and I shared, where I had to send him a raised eyebrow not seeming to understand what he meant. “Before your mother died, she would always tell me how all she ever wanted wa
After making sure Theo would be okay with Harriet and another guard close by to keep an eye on them, Archer and I left for Alpha Aidans pack, my father sending a message that he and Hadwin would meet us there. I did assume we’d travel the way Emmett and I did the day of my birthday; Archer would shift and due to my wolf being a hybrid, I would ride on his back. But instead, a black Aston Martin sat right outside of the pack house, such a car was beautiful to look at and one I didn’t know Archer kept. After some explanation, I learnt that one of Archer’s favourite hobbies was collecting cars, he had a secret garage hidden somewhere at the pack where he keeps all his most expensive cars. Whenever he had a spare moment, he goes to clean them and drives them around the borders but according to Archer, he’s been so busy with me since I arrived that he hadn’t had the chance to drive any of his cars lately, so he was taking advantage of this chance. I was soon sat looking out of the wi
The next morning, Archer and I woke up at the crack of dawn to meet with my family at Alpha Aidan’s pack, we were finally, going to speak with Darren and have him answer the questions he was avoiding yesterday. My main question was why did he run from me, I wouldn’t have allowed Archer to harm him in some way, so why’d he choose to throw me against the wall and make a run for it? Due to Archer’s medical assistance and my wolf, the deep cut on my head was relatively healed and only a small little scar like mark remained, which I knew would be gone also in a day or two. Before such a meeting could take place, Archer and I had scheduled breakfast as like normal but this time, Theo was joining us, something I knew Archer didn’t appreciate but also didn’t have any other choice but to go along with. So, sitting in the huge dining hall, we watched as little Theo devoured all the breakfast in front of him in such a way, it was as though he had never been fed before. After his third help
“Let me know if you need any help!” I call to Theo from the entrance of the bathroom, the warm bath I had run will hopefully stop him catching a cold and clean any ground in dirt I had seen. “I will Fern!” He calls back whilst I hear little glee filled splashes as he played around in the water, allowing a smile to fill my lips as I walk back into the main part of the bedroom where the angry Alpha still stood by the bed. “I still do not like the fact that rouge is in my pack especially, within my pack house.” He growls as I went to sort the bed Theo would he sleeping in, it didn’t take much persuasion for Archer to allow Theo to sleep in one of the many spare rooms of the pack house, but I still knew Archer hated it. “We didn’t have much other choice Arc, he’s an eight-year-old child who if was left out in that cold, would have been dead by morning for something he was born into.” I say understanding it was a lot to ask from him, but I couldn’t allow that boy to die while I was a
The more I thought about what Archer had said, the more confused I became. I didn’t know much about Archer’s family, only he had two younger sisters and a younger brother, who all died the day his father went mad. But I don’t recall him calling one of his brothers his half brother, I assumed they were full blood relatives. “I didn’t know you had a half brother.” I say after a moment of his words going around my brain, where he once again sighed looking over at me. “That is because I do not have a half brother.” He said unbuttoning his shirt whilst walking into the wardrobe to change, but I was left even more confused. “I don’t know if it’s this head wound or what, but how can this person claim he’s your half brother if you’re saying you don’t have one?” I ask hoping it was indeed not making any sense, and I wasn’t having some repercussions from when my head hit the wall of the tunnel. “He is claiming he’s a byproduct of the affair my father and that repulsive rouge he killed m
As like he had said, Archer took me back to the pack house, ran me a warm bath, helped me get changed and was now off to find some medical supplies to dress the mini wound on my head. This meant I was sat on the edge of our bed alone, allowing my troubling thoughts to only spiral that much more. I still couldn’t quite understand why Darren would be there and how he would even know that bunker existed, it’s something I know not only my mother but apparently, Archer’s father took every precaution to ensure it was never discovered. I wish I could have stayed down there a little longer and saw for myself what Darren had been working on, but I knew how Darren even having access to that place was abnormal in itself and I needed to try and speak to him. The sheer panic which was on his face when he saw me also wasn’t sitting right, he and I had been somewhat friends for many years, I had met him the many summers I would stay at Alpha Aidan’s pack. He was truly one of my best friends back
It was as though we were both frozen in place as we stare back at each other, the water around us flowing by our feet and the shouts of Archer’s orders to return in my mind seemed to fade away as he and I continued with our eye contact. I was much too overcome with shock at who I was seeing and for him, he was shocked that someone else had learned the location of this secret bunker and joined him down here. “FERN!” Archer’s loud shout now not in my mind rumbles from the entrance of the bunker and traveled down the halls, the water seeming to rush as the power of his voice rippled through the tide. This seems to snap Darren from his trance where he steps forward in a panic and throws me out of the way, my body and head smacking into the walls of the tunnel and landing with a scream and a splash on the bottom. Instantly, I’m covered in the most freezing waters I have felt which sent a shock wave through my body, my scream only alerting those at the surface that much more. Now I wa
None of us moved or even spoke a single word as we looked down at the little hole in front of us, the more I would look, the more lost I became due to how pitch black the hole was. With a closer look, I spot there were a set of metal stairs dug into the wall of the bunker allowing one person at a time to walk down there. “By the looks of it, it seems as though it’s a rather tight fit.” Emmett said who was still standing over the deep hole looking down, but his comment does snap me out of my thoughts and allowed me to walk forward to see for myself. “It’s clear none of you will be able to fit down there but I think I will.” I say looking into the deep hole where I couldn’t even see the bottom, who knows what could be down there, it’s been deserted for maybe twenty years, what if other things have claimed it as theirs? “I am not allowing you to travel down there alone, we do not know what could be waiting for you at the bottom.” Archer tells me taking my hand as though I was going
