Dana

I knew something was wrong as the guys walked towards Jeremy with malice. Instinctively, I took a couple of steps back.

"Jeremy, let's go," I said with fear.

All I could think of were Amanda's words about the kidnapping. What if the kidnapping Amanda saw wasn't from the past but from the future? Did they want to abduct me?

Jeremy wasn't afraid and stood in front of the guys abruptly. I think he noticed that they didn't intend to be friendly with him. But I didn't expect one of them to punch Jeremy in the face and the other to stab him with a silver dagger.

Silver is poison to our kind. If the silver isn't removed from our body, the victim can die within minutes or seconds. We're just humans when silver doesn't penetrate.

I screamed at the attack. I saw Jeremy writhing in pain and falling to his knees. Drops of blood fell, and I heard his insults towards the thugs.

"Dana, run!" Jeremy told me.

I hesitated for a second, but I turned around and ran towards the entrance of the hospit
