Rachel intrigued me, but it was Dana who truly captured my attention. However, I was momentarily worried about Rachel's strange behavior.

“What’s wrong, Rachel? Why are you nervous? You check your phone every minute.”

“I’m worried, Demian. I don’t know if it was a good idea for me to come with you. I’m a werewolf, but Thomas scares me. He’s been cruel to me. I’ll stay in the car if you don’t mind. I don’t want him to see me.”

“Thomas won’t hurt you again, Rachel,” I assured her.
