She ran as fast as she could and didn’t know when she had stopped in front of her best friend’s home, she snuggled her tears and made her way towards the door and knocked lightly on it. The door opened and she gazed at her friend who hadn’t expected her to show up suddenly.
“What’s wrong Ivelle?” She asked with a concerned gaze. Ivelle pushed her way past her and crashed on the floor, letting the tears gush out of her eyes as she wailed. Lavenya quickly pulled her into a hug and gently stroked her hair to calm her down. “Please tell me what’s the problem,” she inquired. “How could he do this to me? After all the time we have spent together? Is this he had to end it?” Ivelle continued to cry and leave her friend in the dark, totally confused but remained patient, knowing she was going to spill what happened. “Ivelle please calm down and tell me what happened,” Lavenya asked her one more time once she seemed stable, she helped her up to sit on the couch comfortably and quickly went to bring her a cup of water, Ivelle gulped it all down within a second and sighed. “Are you willing to spill what is going on?” Lavenya asked. “Mavros…. He cheated on me.” She revealed and burst out in tears again, her body trembled uncontrollably. “What do you mean by that? You live with each other so why would he change that all of a sudden? Are you sure about what you had seen?” Lavenya was in disbelief. “Do you think I would just make things up? He even did it right in front of me with Fayra!” A gasp escaped Lavenya's lips upon hearing this. “I can only wonder how long they had to do it behind my back because it’s obviously just not today.” “That witch! If only I could squash her right now.” Lavenya scowled at her thoughts. “And to make it all worse, I found out I was pregnant for him.” Ivelle continued to cry as she spoke, a part of her had broken even more due to the recent heartbreaking activities that were happening to her. “What?” Lavenya gasped, with her eyes wide open. “That bastard.” She mumbled not catering if it was treason to insult the alpha of the pack. “Maybe you can tell him and he can finally accept you back.” The idea sprouted hope in her heart once more, Ivelle knew just how desperate Mavros wanted to have his child, if she told him then he would toss away Fayra and claim her as his mate and Luna. “That’s right!” A small smile formed on her cheeks. “I’ll go tell him about it.” she sprang up but Lavenya held her hand. “Where do you think you’re going by this time?” she asked worriedly. “I will relay the news to him, then he will be able to claim me as his mate and accept our child.” Ivelle’s eyes shimmered with excitement and hope as she stared at Lavenya. “That will have to wait till tomorrow, it’s raining car and dogs, and getting a cold right now won’t be good for you and the child,” she explained, that was when reality kicked in, Ivelle had no idea she had made her way into the rain here and she was drenched and already shivering, she quickly gazed at the envelope with her but it was still safe since it was waterproof. “Let’s go change your outfit and get you all dry, you can tell him tomorrow morning,” Lavenya suggested, Ivelle was reluctant but she was willing to do anything to make sure she didn’t lose her child. They both walked into Lavenya’s room and she got a nice hot bath before putting on some of her comfy baggy clothes. A few minutes later she was able to fall asleep while hoping the night would disappear right away. Morning finally came and Ivelle quickly made her way out of Lavenya’s house to Mavros’s home in hopes of getting him back once he knew she was carrying his child. Walking right through the front door she caught sight of him and Fayra kissed and jerked in surprise seeing her. “Why do you have a habit of disturbing us?” Fayra rolled her eyes and folded her arms on her chest as she glared at Ivelle. “Where the hell have you been all night?” Mavros stormed towards her in anger. Who told you to leave this house huh?” “I-I.” she stammered, unable to make a complete sentence. “Where did you spend the night?” He thundered making her jerk in surprise. “She probably went to her lover's place to spend the night so she could teach you a lesson.” Fayra spat and Mavros got even angrier, causing his face to redeem and his veins to pop out. “What? How dare you be with another man?” “That’s a lie! I have never been with another man except you.” Ivelle swore. “Lies! Why are you putting on a man’s vest?” She pointed at the clothes Lavenya had given to her the previous night. “I’m pretty sure that’s her lover’s clothes, she had no shame and dared to come here and tarnish your image, don’t let her get away with this.” Fayra urged Mavros, who was still boiling in rage that Ivelle had done such a thing. “Mavy please don't listen to her, I can-“ “Keep quiet.” Fayra snarled at her without giving her room to speak, with Fayra in the room it was hard for Ivelle to speak because she was constantly shutting her up. Ivelle decided to show him the pregnancy result, maybe then she would be able to calm him down. “Here… I have evidence….” Before she could continue speaking Fayra snatched the document from her hand and pulled out the result from the envelope and gasped in shock. “she has no shame, you should throw her out right away, she has tarnished your image to the extent that all she deserves is to be banished from this pack!” Fayra snapped. “What do you mean?” Mavros questioned her, seeming to be interested in what was in the document. “That filthy pig is pregnant with her lover's child, she must have gone to tell him about it last night.” Before Ivelle could debunk the lies she felt a resounding slap on her cheek followed by stings on her cheek as fresh tears welled up in her eyes. “How dare you lie to me?” Mavros snarled, his eyes gazing down at her as though he was about to cease her existence from the earth. “What’s going on baby?” A man walked into the house amidst the ruckus and curled his fists around Ivelle’s waist, she turned to look at him bewildered as his face was unfamiliar. “Is this your lover?!” Fayra hissed, pointing to the man still clinging to her like they were a couple leaving Ivelle in shock. “Who are you?” She asked“Don't act all dumb with me my love, didn’t we spend a night together yesterday? Wrapped in my arms and begging for my warmth?” The young man grinned as though he was thriving with joy from seeing her in such a state.“What is the meaning of this? Stop this right now.” Ivelle snapped at him but that didn’t seem to work she turned to Mavros who was boiling in anger and felt played.“How dare you lie to me?” Mavros was furiously gazing at her as she was still in so much confusion.‘How could you even think of doing such a thing? Have you no shame and yet you dare to act all innocent with him?“I didn't do anything wrong, I don't even know who he is.” vielle defended but Mavros had seen enough to conclude that she was indeed lying.“There's no use lying to him anymore, your lover boy is here so admit it.” Fayra continued pestering Ivelle who wasn't going to give in, just yet. She had so much to deal with in barely a few hours, she was still in shock that her mate was having an affair wit
Her heart immediately shattered hearing those words, all the hope she had held in her heart were gone in an instant. “What are you waiting for? You got rejected so take that bastard of a child in that belly of yours and get the hell out of here.” Fayra snapped at her with a scornful gaze. Ivelle knew it was pointless to beg any further and decided to turn around and walk away, living in the pack after being rejected by her mate whom everyone knew how long they had been together would make her wish she was dead instead. “You know what?” Mavros pulled her back and yanked her against the wall. She stared into his fear with fear, despite what he wanted now, her body was still trembling and her eyes widened in fear. “I don’t want to ever see this disgusting face of yours so I want you out of my pack,” Mavros ordered sternly before letting go of her, she slid to the floor and stared up at him in surprise. “I-I have nowhere to go.” She stuttered, staring at him in disbelief as more tea
Opening her eyes she looked around the room in confusion as she recalled running in the woods and then blacking out with no further idea as to how she got here, or had she caught her? She wondered. The wooden walls of the room were rough and plain with a thick scent that filled the air, although it was calming for some reason, she gently rode up the bed but hissed in pain from the sting she felt on her lower abdomen, she immediately wondered if the child in her was alright but for some reason, she knew it wasn’t there anymore and fell into a sullen mood.Just a few days ago she had been happy to be pregnant and determined to bring the child, not the world just for things to take a dark turn. Her mind remains clouded in confusion and despair as she thinks of the entirety of the previous events that had led to now while looking around the room. She finally had the strength to sit upright. She observed the room wondering if she had been captured by the rogue leader and a fresh wave of te
Ivelle’s POV I was taken aback by their words and if the circumstances was t quit scary I would have burst out laughing at this sort of joke. There is certainly no way I would actually be mates to anyone after what had just happened, adding the fact that I couldn’t feel the mating bond.“This… it’s all a mistake okay?” I blinked profusely while trying to make sense out of it all.“Do you perhaps think I have time to joke around?” He leaned closer, gazing at me with a stern gaze, my heart raced so fast that o felt I could pass out any moment from now.“I- I don’t know.” Shrugging my shoulders I moved to another corner so I could breathe properly, his aura was weighing me down and his gaze were like daggers about to stab me. The least thing I wanted to do was actually get involved n a relationship after what I had just gone through, I haven’t even had the time to process the whole situation and now this was happening?“Welcome.” Joe walked towards me with a pleased look on his face, co
Ivelle's POV My face scrunched in terror, my eyes widened in shock with my mouth gaped open. “Shall we?” They said in unison, gesturing to the huge door in front of us. “W-what? Are we doing it right now? I haven’t even recovered from anything but the fact that they were rushing into this. “How do you explain why I wasn’t informed about this? Does my opinion not matter to you?” Adrenaline rushed through my veins and I could feel the frustration pump through my veins. “No proper ethics, isn’t it better for me to roam around than be here.” “Darling, we can make it up to you later, quit whining and just do as we say.” Koe smiled like all I said was nothing, he nodded at the door that slowly opened before us and began to walk towards it with his brother. These two were driving me already, and within hours of being here, all I wanted was to leave. I didn’t have any other option than to follow them behind, revealing the big hall right in front of us, lots of people whom I presume to
The applause from the pack members jerked me back in surprise, the weight of being surrounded by strangers overwhelming me again.Since the ceremony was over, they slowly began to leave like it was nothing I wanted to scream… no I needed to scream in despair and demand answers to why my life has been nothing short of a joke, I felt like a dummy, being tossed into a game with no choice.Staring at the door the twins had walked through, my blood boiled in anger and rage. They had put me through this… no! It was all standard when these two dimwits decided to fuck each other.I have been claimed… normally this should have been the best day of my life, with butterflies in my stomach and me leaping in joy and leaning into the warmth of my mate but this was the total opposite. I was left alone… cold. Why do people have to co-star my Hirt me? What did I do to deserve this sort of treatment? My eyes scammed the room as I looked for an exit, taking off anywhere but here would certainly make me
Ivelle’s POVAs Koe led me away from the hall, my heart continued to rave in worry, I had so many unanswered questions running through my mind and it was killing me to know what was going on.I glanced up at Koe who seemed to be in another thoughtful world and not noticing the despair dangling within me.“Is something the matter?” He asked almost immediately, seeming to notice my tense demeanor.“What?”“You’re acting like you had just seen a ghost.” He teased, a smirk trailing gently on his thin pink lips.I had…“I’m..: okay,” I said, focusing on putting one foot in front of the other, each moment I glanced back to see if the figure had followed me but met with an empty hall behind us. Each glance back re-enacted the situation back there and I mentally tried to stop it but to no avail.“You’re joining us for dinner,” Koe spoke as we walked.“I’m tired…”“You have to be there, no excuses.” He insisted and continued to lead me towards another corridor, I was too scared to walk away so
Ivelle’s POV I stared at him baffled and wondered how he got into my room and what for.“Are you okay?” He questioned again, in between his cold demeanor, I could see the worry in his eyes no matter how he tried to hide it.“What are you doing here?” I brushed his hands away from my shoulders and scooted away from him. “Are you a pervert or what?” I asked, I said changing the subject, trying to act all cool so he won’t bother me anymore.“The maids brought it to my attention that you were screaming your lungs out like you were having a nightmare.” He explained, sensing my discomfort. He moved away from me and believe me, I felt safer with him at that distance.“I’m fine.”“Are you-“ “I said I’m fine! It’s only a nightmare, I can deal with it snap leave.” I interrupted him harshly, why should he care when he had treated me with hostility? Why was he even here in the first place?“Very well.” He slowly moved away from me and just then his brother walked in with a worried expression on
Fayra’s POV What is that witch doing here? Why would Mavros bring her back?Sweat dripped down my face as I paced back and forth in my room, biting my lower lip as thoughts ran through my mind. My lips curved into a frown as my mind was filled with worry.“Did she know the truth and want to tell him about it?” I thought out loudly, if that were the case then I would need to silence her before she can make her move. How do I do that without being caught by him? Earlier when I had walked out, I noticed how heavily guarded the area was so there was no way I would be able to enter there without sparing some attention or even being refused to enter by the guards.Plopping on my bed I let out a deep sigh of frustration as an overwhelming feeling ravaged me. I stared at the ceiling as though it held answers for me yet it was empty.“I can help you out.” A voice erupted out of nowhere, startling me as I hid under the sheets of my bed, peeking my head out while looking around but there was no
Ivelle’s POV Slowly regaining my consciousness, I looked around and immediately knew where I was, I jumped from the bed and banged the jail bars, getting the attention of the jail guards. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” He barked harshly. “Get me out of here right now!” I screamed in fury. “I need to leave right now.” “Shut it you bitch! Who told you to bark this loud and disturb everyone?” He shot back, equally annoyed as I was— no! He was trying to intimidate me. Clenching my jaws I remained silent, moving back to the bed, and sat there hopelessly, why do I have to go through so much trouble? All I wanted was to be alone but guess who has such immense bad luck— me! Where was Mavros? What does he want with me? Our relationship ended a long time ago so why would he want me here? Frustration ran through my blood. Rubbing my belly, I was determined to leave, there was no way I would sit back and lose another child! Not this time. I had so many unanswered quest
Ivelle's povDarting my eyes open, I slowly looked around and found myself in a small shade under a tree. Gently getting up, I looked around in confusion and wondered if I had been caught.I had expected this to be over with me dying so why did they save me? Are they that desperate to watch me die by their hands?Slowly getting up, my entire body ached in pain but that wasn’t enough for me to be glued to the floor, walking outside, I saw I was the only one in the middle of the woods. I was even more curious as to how I had gotten here but nothing here was telling me how.I quickly felt my stomach and was relieved that my child was still alive hunger overwhelmed me suddenly but there was nothing here that seemed edible. Just a bunch of wild mushrooms and green grass beneath tall trees.Standing was almost unbearable since my feet were sore and still freshly bleeding from when I had cut myself while running away from them.Twisting my mouth, I looked around for certain plants to heal my
Ivelle’s POV Snapping my eyes open I panted in exhaustion as sweat engulfed my entire body. i had just found my true origin and I am not able to accept that my whole liege was all a lie . A big fat lie!Or was that person trying to trick me and make me fall into a trap?I’m a werewolf who is yet to get her wolf, how could I be a witch? It’s all a lie!“It’s about time you woke up.” Koe’s voice erupted, distruptingbmy trainnof thoughts.“What are you doing here?” I questioned while looking around the sealed dungeon with heavy iron bars. “Why am I here?”“Do I need remind you about your crimes?” He arched his brows in dissapointment, dropping the file he was reading in a table in the corner.“I had nothing to do with that!” I argued. “I’m innocent.”“You know one fact about witches?” He tilted his head to the side. “They tend to lie a lot…. I hate lies!”I remained silent , watching him as he continued to speak, I began to wonder how long I had been knocked out and what my fate was. I
Ivelle’s POV There’s no way I can do that, my hands trembled at the sight of him, I barely even knew him so how could I have that much resentment to even kill him?“Acting all innocent are we?” Kamari snickered, glaring at me with so much hatred, unlike the way she smiled at me.“I didn’t do it!” I claimed none of them seemed to believe me, Koe gazed at me quietly and for a moment I thought he would at least believe me.“Please believe me,” I muttered, tears clouding my eyes as I gazed at him, hoping he would at least listen to me but that wasn’t the case, his gaze hardened as he stared at me in disdain.“Then how do you explain his dead body under your bed?” He growled.“I- I don’t know.” The tears slipped down my cheeks as I recalled all that had happened earlier this morning, I was in such a hurry that I didn’t take note of anything I’m my room, could it be that someone had taken advantage of this and framed me up? But who could that be? I haven’t made any enemy here.I tried to t
Ivelle’s POV “What?” I froze on the bed. Why? Now of all times?“Their majesties will be very happy to hear this great news.” He smiled delightfully.“Do not say a word to them,” I ordered him instantly before grabbing my purse and sprinting out of the room. I can’t keep this, I already lost one and I wasn’t ready to carry another. Why did they have to be so inconsiderate?Hot tears clouded my eyes as I ran out of the hospital, I needed to breathe, anywhere but here. But where do I go? Everywhere reminded me of them. Taking out my phone I dialed Kamari’s number, she was the only one that could bring me out of despair at this moment. I was confused and hopeless at the moment, I didn’t want to do anything crazy.Continuously dialed her number but there was no response, that’s when I decided to meet up with Kian to tell him what he had just pushed me into. I made my way to his office, ignoring the guards who tried to hold me back.“My Luna, you can’t be in there at the moment, his majes
Ivelle’s POV My mind was a mess and so was my body, I was barely holding myself up, and having two of them in me, really took a toll on me. To clear my mind of things, I decided to go to the royal museum and have time to think about my next line of action.Walking in, I felt some relief in me, sunlight streamed through the towering glass roof windows. Gazing around the various artifacts that laid in perfect order and structure. I wasn’t interested in any of this but they somewhat seemed appealing to gaze out. They held every memory of the pack, their values, their honors, and the rest. The air was thick and heavy but I didn’t seem to want to leave already. Watching others gaze at it as they walked by, this place was only open to high-status individuals and was swam with more than enough security to ensure nothing happened.“You don’t look familiar.” A voice called out to me, I turned my head to see who it was, almost immediately and stopped upon a nice-looking young lady, in a fitted
Ivelle’s povDarting my eyes open, I instantly felt I ate we pain in my lower region and all parts of my body, I scrunched up, groaning in pain.“Damn it! Why do you feel this way.” I frowned in annoyance, gently getting myself out of bed but crashed to the floor. I hissed in frustration, trying to recall what I had done last night to warrant this, that was when it occurred to me that I had drunk so much last night. But I can’t possibly cause me to end up like this.I stayed on the floor for a while before summoning the strength to get up and make my way towards the mirror. The sight before me was enough to send me to my death. Why the hell was I naked and filled with a lot of bruises? In my confusion, an arm snaked around my waist and a head leaned on my shoulders, a wave of fear washed over me as I tried to make sense of what was happening.“You’re beautiful Ivelle, every part of you is.” Koe’s breath tickled my nape as I stared in shock.“With you?” I mouthed in surprise. “What d
Ivelle’s pov Bright light glistened before me, before blasting me away, I fell to the floor grunting in pain, I blinked profusely before getting up hastily and looking around but quietly followed, I couldn’t sense them around again. That was the least of my worries for now, what had I done?” Gazing at my hand they trembled. How was I able to do that? Questions danced before me but I couldn’t explain how that had happened. Why are they after me? What do they know that I don’t? Am I— a monster?I crashed to the floor on my knees, trying hard to breathe steadily before gazing up at the sky, desperate for an answer and I was woven into a bed of secrets yet to be discovered. Hearing footsteps I quickly hid, if someone discovered me, it could be bad for me because I could be deemed a witch.I glanced around but no one seemed to appear, I took that as my cue and Tran off, I quickly cleaned up myself before making my way back to the event hall.“Where were you?” Koe's voice rang, taking me b
