Chapter 2

Ariana moved with hurried steps towards the living room, the tray she heard in her hand was filled with bottles of wine and glass cups in it. The sweat peeking from her forehead was sparkling with the lights hitting on it, as she hasted up her steps and ran into the huge hall where a party was going on. Precisely a ball but she didn't pay much attention to the environment.

Knox Delvoc the ruthless Alpha of the Stardust pack was coming back home after so many years, so everyone arranged a ball for him. The stinky smell of perfumes and body sprays from all the high-class women in the room made her frown heavily, she was overly sensitive to smell which was nothing new for a werewolf.

"I want a glass of wine, bring that here…" An arrogant voice called out from among the crowd.

"Me too, I want one to come here." Another voice spoke.

Add one extra glass another voice spoke from behind the latter, oo please can you make it two I'm quite thirsty she added.

Ariana did not pay any attention to them, she was assigned to the royal family and no one else. She clicked her tongue in frustration before she moved towards the large table at the center of the room, the table was crowded with all kinds of werewolves.

"Your majesty, I prepared the wine as you instructed.." Ariana trailed off placing the tray of wine on the table, she picked out the wine and glasses and arranged them on the table in proper order. Ariana had her head bowed as she did her work, her body was aching all over from the work she had been doing the morning.

"Young Ariana, thank you for your help. You may leave now, go upstairs, and get the exotic wines from my room. I placed them on the table there, you won't find it hard finding them…." The queen's mother ordered flashing Ariana a bright smile on her face.

"Yes, your majesty.." Ariana nodded and proceeded to walk towards the steps, behind her back chuckles and laughter broke out. Ariana frowned because they will all obviously mock her but she held in her tears, she hurried her steps and climbed up the tears blurring her vision.

She was a lowly omega wolf, who was unable to transform. Although she spoke to her wolf and heard her wolf-like the rest of the people, she was classified as the less privileged and couldn't transform into her wolf form. She was treated like a mere servant and looked down on by every one of the people in the pack, even her fellow maids looked down on her.

She had no friends and was ostracized by the others, she has turned 18 the right age to find her mate the previous year but it all turned to shambles. Neither did she find her mate nor did she transform into a wolf, she began a big laughing stock after that. Sighing Ariana brought her hands to wipe away her tears, she didn't want to seem pitiful. She was content with her life…

Ariana stopped in front of the huge door and pushed the door open, she frowned and thought if the queen's room has always been so big and the doors too. Axelis felt hunger was playing tricks with her eyes, she rubbed her eyes before walking into the large room. 

Ariana made her way into the room and shut the door behind her, she moved towards the table to check for the wines. When she got closer, she saw two bottles of red-looking wine but it seemed weird. But she picked the bottles up regardless, she turned around to walk towards the door. 

As she moved her head spun and then she fell on the ground from the dizziness, she closed her eyes and fell unconscious on the ground. Meanwhile, a bottle of wine broke and a thick red color surrounded her body, she was in a pool of red wine that looked like blood.

Tiny whimpers escaped from her mouth but, nobody heard her. Outside the room's balcony, a well-built and tall man stood, his red-brown hair floating with the wind. His eyes stared emotionless into the woods, his eyes heard no expressions like he was a broken doll.

The smell of wine entered his nose and he turned around with a frown, he placed down his glass and turned towards his room. The wine was his precious collection, he had personally gotten them from the emperor after engaging in a deadly fight.

The man's eyes glinted in anger staring at the broken wine on the ground, though he had no expression on his face.. his eyes were as still as a storm. A brewing storm, he paid no attention to Axelis. Instead, he moved towards the other bottle of wine on the ground and picked it up, he examined it to see if it was broken. When he found it was not, he hummed in satisfaction and placed the bottle down on the table.

He turned around ready to go back to the balcony, he had heard the maid when she entered his room. He didn't know she was taking away his precious wine, if he had known then she would have been minced wolf now. "Help… help.." Ariana's tiny voice rang out in pain, making the man halt his steps.

Knox turned towards the woman on the ground, he glared at her with unmasked anger in his eyes. She had not only tried to steal his wine but also she dirted his room, he swatted before herself and poked his finger into her cheeks.

"Wake up silly woman" He called out
