Inside Sebastian's car, I noticed he was looking directly at my face as if searching for something.

"What were you doing on the restaurant sidewalk?" he asked, showing both concern and joy. "Especially alone!"

"I was looking for a taxi," I replied without going into further details.

"Were you crying?" he asked, furrowing his brow.

Upon hearing his question, I remembered that I had indeed let a few stubborn tears fall down my face, and that fact now left me quite embarrassed.

"I tripped and almost twisted my ankle, but I'm fine, don't worry," I blatantly lied. "I can't believe you're in London and didn't contact me, Sebastian."
