Chapter 2

I've been running for the past 5 hours and I have no idea where I am but anywhere far from Silvermoon will do

Being rejected by my mate was the worst possible thing that could have happened to me, I never imagined my life outside of Silvermoon away from my parents 

Knocking me off my thoughts I heard footsteps coming from the bushes in front of me

I quickly grabbed the nearest stick I could find, squatting in a combat position and pointing the stick toward where the footsteps were coming from

It got closer and closer and I could see my hands begin to shake out of fear

Suddenly two tall men walked out of the bushes, I raised my hands higher signaling to them that I was armed 

They both raised their hands to surrender 

“We're not going to hurt you, my name is Lukas I am the alpha of deepwater and this is my beta, Henry,” he said pointing to the man beside him

“You're on deepwater territory, immediately I got the signal we had to come to check it out, now who are you and what is your name?”

He said while raising his brows and gesturing to the stick I still held high

“Oh I'm sorry, my name is Amelia James, from Silvermoon Pack I'm sorry for causing any inconvenience and I didn't mean to cross your boundaries” 

“So why are you out here all by yourself by this hour it's very dangerous,” he said with concern on his face 

I shrugged “It's a long story and I don't think you'd care anyways, sorry for crossing your boundaries I'll just leave before I cause you any more problems” I moaned before turning to leave

“Hold on, where will you go? It's not safe to be out here by yourself and Silvermoon is quite far from here, you can spend the night at my Palace then in the morning you can head home”

I looked at the two men standing in front of me who I'd never seen before, he was right it was not safe in the woods by this hour especially being all alone,

I had a second thought and accepted his offer.

I sighed heavily “Alright I'll come with you” 

Lukas gestured with his hands facing the direction back to the palace, Henry just stood there without saying anything and offered me his jacket 

“You must be cold,” he said 

I looked at him before replying “Yes I am” Then I grabbed the jacket which he was holding out and put it on.

We all walked for a few minutes in silence before I broke it

“Why did you offer to help me? You don't even know who I am” I asked Lukas

“Because you needed help, here at Deepwater we stand for many good values and kindness is one of them,” he said while looking at me with a small grin on his face.

Although I just met him, he felt like a good person and I felt kind of safe around him.

We walked for a few more minutes before arriving at this huge palace 

At the entrance there were two guards, guarding the entrance gate, when we got there they greeted Lukas by bowing their heads in submission before opening the gate 

Before we proceeded to enter Henry said “I guess we will see in the morning alpha” before bowing his head 

Lukas nodded in approval before we entered the premises, as we entered I could see the building now it was huge and had a narrow walkway leading to the entrance to the house, by both sides of the narrow road were beautiful gardens 

There were tall lamp lights everywhere in the compound making it bright even at night, walking Forward was a water fountain with a statue of a man sitting in a royal chair with a crown on his head and water coming out from his mouth.

The palace was white with designs of gold, then there was a flag on top of the building i guess it was the logo of the deepwater pack, I just stood there lost looking at the beauty of the building.

Lukas cleared his throat “Coming in?” He said with a small grin 

“Yee yes… sure” I stammered as he opened the door for me to enter, when I walked in I was in awe at how beautiful the interior looked, it was designed in both white and gold like the outside.

We climbed the stairs and walked down the hall to our right, Lukas stopped at a door 

“Here you go, get some sleep you must be tired, in the morning you can tell me that story you thought I didn't care about”

I grinned and nodded then I thanked him for helping me before entering the room which was also designed like the rest of the house

I took my bath and changed into a pj I found in the wardrobe and just fell to the bed in tiredness and slept.

I woke up in the morning feeling better and trying to forget that I got rejected yesterday, I headed downstairs when I saw Lukas and Henry sitting in the living room with some other guy I'd not seen before 

“Morning guys, hope I'm not interrupting,” I said 

“Hey, Amelia come have a sit, of course, you're not interrupting, hope you had a good night's rest?”

“Yes sir I did, thank you for helping me out yesterday” 

“You can call me Lukas, and oh this is Alexander my gamma”

“Hi,” I said waving 

“You can call me Alex” 

“So tell us what really happened yesterday?”

And just from the thought I was almost sobbing, I explained what happened to me before they found me in the woods 

“It must have been hard being rejected by your mate, I can't imagine how you feel” They all consoled me because I got emotional

“And Amelia, you don't have to worry you can stay here with us for as long as you wish,” Lukas said

I thanked him because he had been so nice and treated me well even without knowing who I was

“Women can be strong too, we have one of the strongest warrior clans, how would you like to train with them?” Lukas asked me

“I would love to, I haven't done something like this before,” I said

“Then it's time to transform you, Amelia,” Lukas said with a grin.
