QUINN:

Kylie didn't know that the alpha was already there. Hence, she continued raining unimaginable insults on me.

"I will make sure to report to the school authority and decide on what punishment to give you." The alpha said, making her flinch and let go of me immediately.

"Alpha Jackson, this girl here is a treacherous snake, a cunning fox. She's a bad person and I'm trying to shield you from her." She replied sweetly and tried to get closer to him.

"One more step and that's detention for you. You don't get to tell me who I should be speaking to or not. Now, get out of my sight and never bother her again. If I see you around her or if she reports you to me, you'll have me to contend with." He ordered and with one last menacing glare at me, Kylie walked away.

"Alpha Jackson, you shouldn't have done that. She'll kill me at home." I said frantically.

"Do not worry, she won't be bothering you ever again. I'm here now."

Not to lie, his words were reassuring. There was finally peace within me. I knew he was watching me while I ate but I didn't dare to look back at him.

"I have a business to attend to now. Is it okay if I see you after school tomorrow?" He asked. My lips parted as I stared at him. I was shocked he was asking for permission to see me. Does he know I'm his fated mate? Nah... He would reject me right away. I was too feeble to be a luna. That role comes with lots of responsibilities and I was too incompetent to occupy such a sacred position.

"I'll take that as a yes." He chuckled. "See you tomorrow, Quinn. It was nice meeting you." He squeezed my hand gently before going off. I watched him in disbelief till he was out of sight. There were peering eyes all around but I paid no heed to them. I was finally getting attention and it was all because of the alpha.

"He didn't even ask me to return his clothes," I muttered and touched the shirt. They smelled just like him. If it was what a mate bond felt like, then I want to be mated to him for the rest of my life.

Even on my way home, I still get the chills that people were staring at me.

Why were they doing that? I wasn't the first person that the alpha was speaking to in the school. Why the unnecessary attention? I liked the fame at first but now, it was becoming creepy.

But I knew one thing for sure. Trouble was waiting for me at home.

I met my father sitting on the couch on his phone. He didn't notice me until I greeted him.

"Hey, honey," He stood up and kissed my cheeks as usual.

"How was school?"

"Very much uneventful at first but turned out great." I grinned. I quickly left him so he wouldn't ask me about the clothes I was putting on. I washed the alpha's clothes and spread them on the line. I had my dinner and went ahead to sleep.

I woke the next morning, hale and hearty. I didn't see Kylie before bed and that prompted my good sleep. I got prepared for school in anticipation of seeing the handsome alpha again.

My heart fell to the ground when I saw his clothes in shreds. I already knew who did that. For the first time, I went to confront her.

I met her doing her nails and out of anger, I knocked the paint out of her hand, making it spill to the ground.

Normally, she would yell at me and begin to abuse me verbally, but instead, she smiled slyly.

"I take it that you have seen my little gift to you." She laughed.

"Why Kylie? Why did you do that? Do you know what he's going to do to me if I don't return his clothes? Why are you this evil and mean? What did I ever do to you?" My voice was beginning to crack.

I hated myself for being too emotionally fragile. I couldn't handle a mouth to mouth fight without crying.

"My little sister is beginning to get the balls to stand up to me. All because of Alpha Jackson. Let's see how bold you will be after today." She giggled, picked up her school bag, and walked away.

I don't know how long I cried but when I looked at the mirror, my eyes were red and puffy. I had to go to school either way. It was better I told him myself than for him to find out from Kylie. Only the goddess knows how many more lies she would add to it.

I got to school when everybody was already in class. I got scolded but that wasn't my concern. I had a greater worry ahead of me. I couldn't have lunch either. Yeah, I was that broken. All thanks to my so-called sister.

I wanted to hide from the alpha when I saw him across the hall. But I needed to tell him the truth. I was ready to take in any reaction from him.

"Quinn..." He slurred as he sat down beside me. The hall was now empty and so, we had lots of privacy to ourselves.

I didn't have the guts to look him in the eyes. Much to my surprise, he raised my chin, making me look at him forcefully.

"You've been crying. Did she do anything to you?" He asked sternly.

"And don't think of hiding anything from me just because she is your sister."

"Well," I started. "Remember the clothes you lent me yesterday?" I asked.

"Yes, I do. What about them?"

"After cleaning them, I spread them on the line and when I went back, the clothes were in shreds. I swear, I didn't do it." I thought I was going to cry again but his warm demeanor made me rethink my decision.

"Is that why you were crying?"

I was shocked at his reaction to the whole issue.

"I know you didn't do anything. You're too cute to do something so vile." He ruffled my hair. He just called me 'cute'. I felt like marrying him at that moment.

"Don't cry about it, okay? Even if you were the one who did it, I still won't be mad at you."

"I would never."

I let out a laugh for the first time.

"And she laughs." He nudged me. "You're beautiful, Quinn. Don't let anybody make you feel less."

"Thank you, alpha Jackson."

He hissed and moved closer to me, snaking his hand across my shoulders.

"I think Jackson is just fine."

I felt butterflies in my stomach. His smile and touch was everything. I didn't want the moment to end.

"So, I won't be coming to your school for a while. How can I reach you? I would love to see this beautiful face again." Even the tone of his voice made my stomach churn.

We ended up exchanging numbers and he walked me home. He didn't let go of my hand till we got to the house. I could swear I was falling in love with him as more seconds went by. He was charming and I was sure it would end well between us.

Getting to the door front, I saw Kylie discussing with Dad. When she saw us, her smile turned into a frown immediately.

"I'll call you later, dear. You go in and rest." He said and I did as I was told. I wanted to see how everything would unfold so I eavesdropped from the window closest to them. Soon after, Dad left Alpha Jackson and Kylie alone. I overheard him giving her a warning to stay away from me and that no report should be heard about the two of us again. I grinned internally and ran to my room.

My smile was so huge and I didn't notice until I saw myself in the mirror. All thanks to Alpha Jackson.

QUINN: My life became easier after the alpha came into my life. Nobody, not even my sister, bullied me in school. I wasn't going to make friends with people who watched my life unfold miserably in that school. For a few days, I hadn't seen the alpha and he hadn't contacted me since the day he walked me home. I felt he was too busy to even look at his phone."Did you know the alpha's birthday ceremony is tomorrow?" One of the gossip girls in my class shouted. QUINN: Like a thread, our beautiful and precious bond snapped. I couldn't muster up the courage to take the pain. It was when he wiped my face that I noticed I was crying. He pulled me into a warm embrace as I sobbed uncontrollably. How was I supposed to forget everything that happened and move on? It was just two days but they meant everything to me.I began to recount the memories of his smile and when he held my hand till we got to my house. Why did he act so sweet only to reject me? He made me fall in love with him and now, I've broken everything. I could probably never move on."I'll never forget you, Quinn. Never." I stayed in his arms till I felt much better. And besides, I saw his Luna looking at us through the window. I didn't want her to think otherwise."And I hope you meet a better person in the future."****It kept dawning on me that I had rejected my mate. I lay on my bed, thinking it was all a bad dream. NOX: I heard Jackson was getting married the moment I stepped into my room. One of the maids had come after me with the invitation card, and after sending her away, I read the content. I couldn't hold back the laughter that threatened to come out. It was just last week he was talking about never getting married. He wanted to be the first alpha without a luna. Now, how did that work out for him? I bet his throne was threatened. But my eyes darkened when I saw the name of the lady he was getting married to."Interesting..." I purred as I continued staring at her name."Well, I'd be sure to pay them a visit," I said, tossing the card aside and going ahead to have a cold shower.Coming out of the room, I met a figure on the bed."Don't you ever knock?" I hissed, glaring daggers at my sister who sat on my bed playing with her demonic toy. The toy had scattered hair, red eyes, black lip paint, and a scary smile. I never liked that toy right from day one."How many times have I told you no

QUINN: Seeing Anna seated beside Alpha Jackson made me almost throw up. I was disgusted by her mere presence, after seeing her act with one of the guests. I swore never to let that slide. The alpha must know what he was getting into.Immediately after the wedding ceremony and reception, we were tasked with cleaning the entire yard. In the course of doing that, we were asked to leave our positions and report to the alpha. Maybe he saw the act too and wanted to annul the wedding vows.Anxiously, I went with the other maids and was asked to stand before the alpha and some strange guests. Amid the strange people was the man I had seen earlier. He looked pissed but I didn't care. I was going to expose him and his accomplice. By the way, who was he to sit with the alpha?"Who did it?" Alpha Jackson asked. I was confused. He looked angry but it wasn't directed to his cheating wife and the strange man but it was directed at us. What did we do wrong? I looked at each of the girls but nobody s

QUINN: I took slow steps, trailing behind the man who had come to get me. Each step made my stomach churn and my heart raced violently against my chest. I remembered clearly what the alpha had done to those men who attacked us earlier. He was ruthless and merciless. But then, it kind of served them right for ambushing us out of nowhere."Go in," The guy opened the door. With one last glance at him and a deep breath, I stepped into hell. I noticed that the room was wide with a king-sized bed in the middle and a lounge on the right side. To my left was a study corner which had about three shelves filled with books. My eyes darted to the dimly lit purple lights and the red curtains that moved slowly to the rhythm of the wind. It was quite a beautiful room, except for the black exotic paintings that hung on the wall and the weird artifacts that sat on one of the shelves."He always has a way of spoiling something beautiful..." I muttered as my eyes scanned the room. From the lounge area,

Quinn: Jenson led me to the Alpha's room. The walk seemed long and unending. Maybe it was because I realized the heftiness of the trouble I was in. Each thudding step and each excruciating heartbeat led me closer to my death. Jenson noticed how tense I was because I caught him stealing glances."Don't worry, it's not going to be that bad." He tried to cheer me up. "I hope." He muttered that last part, probably hoping I wouldn't have to hear it. He opened the door after knocking and ushered me in. Surprisingly, all the other heads were gathered. Something told me that something was wrong because they all had one look on their face. None of them even looked at the alpha. "Where is my meal?" The alpha's voice was cold, just like the first time I had met him. He sat in his swivel seat, not looking at anybody but the open window. "Master... I... " I looked to Stella, hoping she'd say something because it was all her fault, but the witch just stood there, motionless. "I was cleaning a

Quinn: As soon as I stepped outside the room, I released my breath. I didn't realize I had been holding it all that while. "He's scary," I muttered and was about to step back to my room but I stopped in my tracks when I saw her in front of me. His mate, Stella. I quickly bowed my head and wanted to walk away but she pulled me back. 'What now?' I rolled my eyes and looked her in the eye. "You're weak, weaker than most omegas. How did you meet the Alpha and why are you his personal maid?" She asked with fury in her eyes. Since she couldn't take out her anger on the alpha, she decided to take it out on me. "I'm talking to you, slave." She yelled and yanked my hair. "You don't keep quiet when I speak to you." She pulled hard on my hair, causing it to strain. "Stop..." I pleaded. In the middle of my pain, another hand grabbed her wrist, squeezing the life out of it until she eventually let go. I quickly hid behind the person while touching my aching brain. Nox: My brows creased into a frown. I was hoping the mission I had sent her on would last for the next few days. Well, nothing less was expected of the daughter of a strong alpha, strong enough to be the Lycan king even. To help my pack get to where it is, I made a contract with the alpha. He gave us the best of his soldiers and strengthened our defenses in return that if I didn't find my mate by ending of the year, she would become my Luna. Desperate, I accepted the offer. There she stood, with a smile on her face. "Welcome back," I coldly said, throwing my gloves aside and sitting behind my desk. At the same time, Blake and Zion walked in. Blake is my beta and Zion, my gamma. Both were my best friends when it came to having fun. "I need reports and Blake, please gather all the heads. Make sure Quinn is there." I ordered, Blake left and Stella only looked at me with suspicion. "What?" I raised a brow. "Who's Quinn?" She folded her hand underneath her breasts with creases brows

Nox: I knew Quinn was weak but I didn't expect her to be that weak by finding running difficult. It was a good thing her sassy attitude complimented her weak status. She would have been a goner by now. I watched her collapse to the ground and stand up again. I was hoping she'd give up and vent but she continued with the task given to her. Not bad. As soon as my eyes dropped from her, they settled on two ladies who were pulling each other's hair. 'Interesting. I never get to watch my girls fight more often.' I smirked, an idea popping into my head. "Ladies," I stepped in between the two raging lions threatening to each other apart. "She started it. She stole my date to the spring festival." One of them vented, pointing maliciously at the other whose arms were folded."Your date? We never broke up, you dummy." Late bloomers... That was the kind of drama we got around their kind. The spring festival was more or less a semi-mating ceremony but it was also when we offered sacrifices

My mind wandered until an abrupt knock brought me back to reality. "Come out of there or I'm coming in. I don't care if you're naked." A male voice erupted in anger. I quickly folded my former clothes, placed them neatly in a corner, and opened the door. With my head down, I walked past the guy and back to the field. Alpha Nox said Blake would be my instructor. Now, who was Blake? I had never seen him before. Or maybe I have. Either way, I was too scared to ask anybody for help. They all seemed mean. I could tell from the snares that most of the ladies gave me. I was just hanging around while the others trained. "What do you think you're doing? Get over here!" The person who had shown me the changing room commanded and I reluctantly obeyed. Even over here, people step all over me and nobody does anything. I think that's a normal tre
