I made my way back to my room, my thoughts in disarray. As I pushed open the door, I found Naomi already there, lounging on my bed with an expectant look on her face.

“What did the Lycan King say to you?” She asked immediately, her eyes dark with hidden anger.

I took a deep breath, trying to compose myself.

“Nothing,” I replied, forcing a nonchalant tone. “Just some routine stuff.”
