Chapter 3: In his hand

Her eyes move towards Sheila. "No, he is one, who judges a book by its cover." Thalia was never a crybaby, she was that brave girl without a wolf, her mother was a human, while her father the alpha was a wolf.

Having no wolf means she had to be strong and brave, so she could survive in a wolf world. She throws a sleeveless short gown on herself, wearing boot shoes, she doesn't need makeup to look like a goddess

"Lady Thalia, are..."

"I am off to the club, leave my door unlocked, so I don't disturb you when I return." She didn't wait for Sheila to say a word, she turned around and darted out of the building, she was not the party type, yet she needed to go somewhere to forget her pain, never had she thought that she would meet her mate, and get rejected before she could even get to know him.

"What a waste?" She curses as she sits in a bar, it's a human bar, knowing she is a human, she always feels more comfortable with humans than those intimidating wolves. Even with the loud music, it seemed that annoying Alpha's voice was still ringing in her head, she tried to shut his voice, why did she get so affected by the young man's words, she hated her bad mood because of a fellow that she doesn't think she might be in love with even though, he is her fated mate.

"Oh, stupid idiot." She cursed again, that naughty alpha had turned her into something she couldn’t understand in less than six hours they couldn't

As she sat there gracefully, a young man walked towards her with a glass of wine, his handsome face pasted with a sweet smile, "Miss will you have a drink with me?"

Thalia lazily sunk into the booth as she raised her eyes to look at the face of the man, she casually stared at the man turning her foxy eyes from him. "Not interested." She was fast to reject him, she is not in the mood to entertain suitors, especially when that asshole had given her rejection without knowing who she is.

"Why sister, do you think I can't afford, a drink? I could even buy the entire bar for you?" His baritone voice came up. But something was off, he was walking his fingers on Thalia's hand.

She raised her lovely eyelashes, as she gazed at him with her lips curved into a smile. She moved her other hand and grabbed the wrist of the man, she wasn't adding too much force, the man felt like he had suffered from dislocation, his face turned pale while his eyes were dark and Misty.

All he could do was let out a small groan, he couldn't even scream. Her eyes were cold yet her expression was peaceful and unchanged.

She let go of his hand and said, "If you don't want to get a broken hand, you should scram."

The man stumbled on his feet, as he looked at her in horror, and then retreated in panic, this scene didn't go unnoticed by his friends, they tried to get what just happened from him but he was too embarrassed to give details of such an incident.

Soon another man walked towards her, but apart from the man walking towards her, something had caught her attention, that man from earlier, that mate of hers, no, he is no longer her mate, he just rejected her, he is in the bar, at the VIP  section, she blink her eyes severally to confirm, he is not the man, but her instinct can't lie, he is the alpha of wild gold pack, the arrogant wolf that called himself Todd Rupert.

Thalia turned her gaze pretending not to see him as she fixed her eyes on the young man, not after emptying the glass in front of her

"Beauty, take it easy on the glass, you don't want to damage it with your anger?" Instead of her to get mad at him, she flashed him that smile. In the eyes of the man, she is one gullible idiot and desperate bitch, ready to sell her body to any available man for just a glass. He moved his hand and placed it on her shoulder. "Please" his voice came up again.

"Piss off." She growled at him, shrugging her shoulder, the naughty man smiled, placing his hand back on her shoulder. "Wow, what a fierce lady! You are fierce and the good thing is, I love feisty girls. And the more they act like they don't want you, the more they want you." His words were arrogant and irritating, Thalia got on her feet, ready to walk out on the annoying man, but her legs gave her away and she ended up falling on the chest of the young man. He smiled as he grabbed the waist of Thalia. "I knew you wanted me, you are only trying to play hard."

Thalia kneeled him on his balls, he growled, freeing her waist, "Stupid." He curse in pain as his eyes turned red, he pushed Thalia from behind, and the young woman that had so much to drink fell into the hands of another man, her eyes goes in a circle, she knew these men were working with this asshole in front of her.

"Get off my way." She yelled at them, sending a punch across the face of one of the men, but due to her drunkenness, she couldn't fight them all, the young man that had approached her earlier grabbed her hand, and she fell towards him.

"Oh dear, I knew you liked me, you were only putting up a show." He said trying to take her hand but Thalia slapped her hand across his face. ''you bitch." He pushed her, she was falling but a strong hand grabbed her, preventing her from falling.

"Please save me." That was all she said before she fell on the chest of the man who was standing like a tower. She was expecting that the young man would push her away but he didn't when the man saw that the man wasn't letting go, the young man yelled.

"Give her back to me, she is mine, I got her first"

"Todd, you don't want to get involved with this naughty human, just give the girl back to them," Adrian said, Thalia's eyes moved suddenly to the man, her rejected mate was here to save her. For some reason, she felt safe in his hand, Todd who had no idea who the woman in his hand was.

"Of course not, they will only feel my wrath if they try to get her." He bent and pulled her into his hand, carrying her like a princess, with one of his hands under her knee and her back.

"Where do you think you are bringing the girl?"

"She is mine now, so back off," Todd growled, taking a step, to leave, but those rascals didn't want to let it pass.

"We got her first and that is how it will remain."

"Really?" He asked without emotions.

"Yes, if you have to get the girl then you will have to earn it." Todd smiled.

"You shouldn't mess with the wrong person." His voice was low, and Todd's expression was the same, he should be the one saying that not the other way around. "Meet me outside." The young man said Todd ran his tongue on his lips, he loved this type of entertainment.

"It's your call." He turned, and Adrian grabbed his hand.

"You are not going to fight them because of this stranger?"

"Shh!" He told Adrian. "Come on, who wants to go first?" He ushered them, but one was fast enough to recognize him and Adrian.

"Sorry is a misunderstanding." They apologized so fast as they went on their knees.

"Good then, get lost," Todd said turning, the young woman, that is still in his hand, moved her hand and touched him.

"Where should I bring you?" He asked.

"Why are you so handsome yet with bad character?" She mouthed, Todd's eyes bulged, he just saved the girl, he wasn't expecting her to think he was bad. "Kiss me."
