Watching them drink blood like juice was nauseating. I tried to ignore them and concentrate on the food in front of me. Her cousins were nice and friendly. There was one of them who was training to become a war general. The younger two were still in school which meant they will have to leave for school after the training.
“So David. Are you going to learn kickass?” Evan, the older cousin asked.
“I guess.” I replied. “Dad used to train me before he.....”

Carol pov Spending time with David was fun and exciting. Training sessions were super interesting while Mrs. Cosmo’s classes were somewhat the same – monotonous. Narrator “Wake up, sleepy head!” Carol’s eyes sprung open as she was woken up rather unexpectedly. “My goodness!” she exclaimed and put a hand on her chest, trying to calm her pounding heart. She stared at her younger cousin who was covering her mouth while she giggled. “Very funny Kat.” Carol grunted and wiped her eyes before checking the time. “What? It is just 5pm! What in the world did you wake me up so early? And today is Sunday, the only day of the week I get to sleep in. Evan’s fists balled in anger. So is that why they are torturing her? Because she refused to go against the law? Because she refused to give in and fought against evil? How despicable. He was not going to let them win. He felt an unknown desire to save her from their evil clutches. He felt anger bubbling inside his veins. The young lovers sprung apart and looked around to find Kat and Carol walking towards them. David and Nolan were right behind them. Elle started to panic and quickly removed herself from the awkward position she was in. David pov. I was really happy for Evan. It was great that his beloved was just as nice and kind hearted as he was. They truly were compatible with each other. Carol had started distancing herself from me, which I thought is the best for both of us. But without her to hang out, it was boring. My life at the palace was kind of scheduled. I would have been bored to death if not for Evan and Nolan. I got up one day and walked towards the gate of the palace. It was still day time, so the whole place was practically deserted, except for a few guards who had to guard the palace. It has been a long time since I went out for a run.
