—Lachlan— I can't let Will know that something is wrong, so I take a few deep breaths and get my emotions under control then I walk down the stairs to the living room. Adriana has fallen asleep on the couch so I cover her with a blanket. “Hey buddy, can you come with me, there's something your mum and I need to tell you.” I tell Will, and because he's such a sweet kid, he doesn't even complain that I'm interrupting his cartoons; he just gets up and puts his tiny hand in mine.
