Chapter 06

Shit. This cannot be! This cannot be! How can I be here?! Oh my gosh! Panic overcame my system as I looked around the pack. It was so different from my previous pack. And the people… oh my gosh… they’re scary! Damn it. 

“Are you okay?” I almost flinched when I heard the woman say that. I swallowed hard as I took in a deep breath. I tried to smile at her but for some reason, I couldn’t. 

My heart was thumping so bad that I could barely breathe already. Damn it. I am really at Silverstone! Shit. I looked at the woman again as I heaved a deep breath.

“A-Am I in Silverstone?” I wanted to smack myself for even asking that. But hell, I needed to be sure! 

Her brow shut up and then looked at me from head to toe. “Yeah, why?” 

Fuck! 

I almost held my breath. I clutched into my chest and immediately gulped. I stepped back and didn’t even. “Shit,” I said to myself. Damn it. I was panicking inside already. I mean shit, am I really in the turf of the most feared pack in the land?! Who knows what they would do to me! Damn it! 

My whole body was shaking already as I roamed my eyes around the area. We were in the middle of a forest and so far, I couldn’t sense other wolves than her. Uhhh, I guess she’s alone…so I’m safe? I mean at least she has no back up? 

Damn it, what am I even thinking?! 

“Tsk. Relax, I won’t bite you.”

“How can I be sure?” My eyes widened when I spoke without even thinking. Damn it! Now, I wanted to just be swallowed by the ground! What if she’ll kill me?! What if this is a trap?! Oh my gosh!

“Tss. Chill out, will you? I’m telling you, I won’t do anything to you,” she spoke again. I didn’t respond. I just stared at her for a few seconds without letting my guard down because hello? Who knows what she will do to me!

“Alicia, what are you still doing there?” 

I almost jumped on my feet when I heard a baritone voice. My eyes widened at the woman in front of me. Oh gosh, she’s with someone! She has a back up! What the hell?!

I tried to sense the man coming. I even alerted my senses for any other unwanted visitors. I saw how the woman, who I supposed is Alicia, looked at me weirdly.

“I found someone,” she said, eyeing at me. The boy that she was talking to immediately turned to my direction. His eyes narrowed as he surveyed me from head to toe. 

“And who are you, Miss?” he asked, a smirk slowly appearing on his face. 

I clenched my hands even more. Damn it. “She’s a lone wolf, I guess,” Alicia answered and raised her brow on me. I  swallowed hard and looked at the guy who was still staring at me. 

"Hmm…I think she can stay…I mean it's up to the alpha…"

Wait, what? Alpha? Oh my gosh. The alpha of Silverstone?! The ruthless alpha of the werewolf realm?! No! No! Shit!

"Yeah…I think so, too. Just bring her in." And the guy turned his back on us already  

I was left there with the girl Alicia and hell! My heart was pounding so bad as she was looking at me. 

"You're obviously lost and don't know what to do or where to go. It's good that you come with me, you know," she said as a matter of fact. 

My eyes widened and I immediately averted my gaze. I bit my lip hard. Damn it. As much as I hate to admit that she's right, she was really right. I mean, what will I even do here in this forest?! 

I couldn't survive here, obviously. And I have nowhere to go! Oh gosh… 

"Are you going with me or not? Better decide now before the rogues find you here," Alicia spoke again which made me widen my eyes even more. 

The hell?! 

I quickly looked at her and the brute just gave me a tight smile which made me drop my mouth. The heck?!

Eventually, I was left with no choice but to go with her. It was almost dark and being in a foreign forest won't do me any good so I might just at least go with him. Oh, moon goddess. Please guide me here. I took a deep breath before having a deep sigh. I looked at our surroundings as we continued walking towards the north of the forest. 

Nobody talked. All I could hear that moment were the chirping birds and the blowing of the winds around us. The atmosphere was so eerie that it sent shivers to my spine. 

I couldn't help but think about this decision. Is this really a wise decision? Oh gosh…what if…

I shut my eyes closed as I clenched my fist hard. I took a deep breath and fastened my pace because Alicia was already far from me. 

Damn it. 

"You're slow,"she commented. I just bit my lip and didn't answer her. I looked around again. 

I swallowed hard as we continued to walk towards the middle of the forest. My surroundings scream unfamiliarity and I cannot help but be even more nervous about it. I mean, who wouldn’t be? This pack is the most feared pack of the realm. Heck, even just the mention of their pack's name shook every werewolf here. Fuck. Why did I even go with her again?

‘Because you’re alone and you cannot survive being alone in a forest where rogues might be lurking around.’

I bit my lip as I heard my wolf saying that. Ughh. I know, alright. I know. Tsk. 

“Aw!” I shrieked when I bumped into someone’s… wait chest?. I immediately looked up only to see a pair of deep blue eyes looking at me intently. I arched a row at him. “Seriously? Can’t you look where you’re going?” I immediately spat. I heard a lot of gasping around. That's when I looked at the surroundings and there I saw a group of pack warriors, I think, hovering and murmuring to each other while throwing glances at me.

I looked at Alicia and the guy earlier and they were both looking at me in amusement, as if I just did something so shocking. Even the other people around us were looking at me the same way. Uhhh seriously?

“And who are you?” his baritone and cold voice sent shivers to my spine. I gulped hard as I looked at him intently. “Who the fuck are you?”

My forehead creased as I looked at him from head to toe. “I’m-”

“She’s a lone wolf, Alpha, I’m sorry for her attitude.” Alicia cut me. I felt my whole body just froze upon hearing those words from her. I swallowed hard as reality slapped me hard. 

What did she just say? Oh my god. This man that I am talking to is the alpha of Ravenstone?! Fuck! 

“What a gutsy she-wolf you are, huh?”
