73 - Unwanted Runaway

"Now that you're feeling better, let's get out of here," he said. His hands were occupied with pouring a glass of milk and some sandwiches he was making.

His busyness for some reason made me realize that he was avoiding my gaze. Or better said, he didn't want to look at me.

He refused to look at my battered body after being played by Matthias. I could read that from his expression. He was denying the fact that his heart hurt to see me being abused by his own best friend.

"Frederick," I call his name softly, luring him to look where my fingers are perched.

The milk that had been in his grasp was stopped in its tracks by that. Slowly, he rolled his salt irises at me. And gave me a very forced look.

"You don't need to explain anything," he said, as if she could read my head. "There's no need to say anything, I want you to forget what you've been through. Now, we just need to move forward. I already have a way out to get you out of here."
