Sally was originally just a name for Diana who was a mere pawn in her chess game called revenge.

Because of this mindset, Diana did not bother to put Sally’s misdeeds in her eyes when she first arrived in the Blood Claws Pack. Over time, Sally became someone she treated as one of her people. Remembering Sally’s resolute pair of eyes as she muttered the word ‘Luna’ filled with devotion, Diana knew that Sally was already one of the few people she wanted to protect in this wretched world.

Yet Shananel dared to stretch her claws to her pack… to her people.

Recalling the warring times of her past life, when the Blood Claws Pack’s rallied to surround the Werewolf Committee, it seemed as if Sally was the one who played the role of Seymor Tesan in this lifetime!

Diana knew that Shananel would make a sneaky attack and it would result in the first death among the Blood Claws Pack’s ranks—Beta Seymor Tesan’s death. Hence, Diana chose to take all the hink-ranking wolves to the rally, leaving o

Amid the replanning inside the lavish tent, Diana, was standing around the round table where a circular hunter skin man was laid. Diana’s cold gaze swept around the alphas around her and moved the rook to the castle, moving the two chess pieces together. “When that happens, this is the perfect time to take their—ugh!” “!!!” Everyone had a bewildered look before it switched to fear for Diana before it reverted to worry for what happened. As blood oozed in between her fingers while she covered her mouth, Diana continued to cough as if she was coughing her lungs out. Her vision flashed from white to black. Before long, Diana immediately tapped her mind link with her mate, hoping to ease the barrage of what-ifs in her mind while not minding the whiplash of questions aimed at her. Diana stepped backward. She was still in a daze, a telltale sign that she was communicating with someone with the use of the mind link. With this in thought, the alphas dispersed aside from Alpha Mason and his

Sally died. The pain she felt was enough confirmation for Diana, but she refused to acknowledge it. Only when two wolves howled in anguish while surrounding a burnt corpse rescued by Dylan did Diana finally accept the staggering truth. Only when she saw the drone’s live footage did she let reality play back after pausing it at the back of her mind a couple of minutes ago. There was no more denying it or it would only be disrespectful for Sally’s last moments. This time, Diana slumped back to her chair.Talia nodded at Soleyah, conveying to the latter to shut off the live footage. With Talia and Soleyah—magic and technology—the drone came back in no time.“Are you alright?” With a wave of Talia’s hand, a cup of water that could ease Diana’s fatigue appeared out of thin air. She placed the cup in front of Diana and picked up the laptop of Soleyah before she gave it to the latter. “Have some drink. You need to stay sane. Death is normal in war. Diana and the group did not have to wait for too long. Forty-five minutes later, a portal appeared outside the main tent and Talia with her two mates came out from it with a cloaked person in tow. With the large cloak covering the visitor, the onlookers did not recognize the uninvited visitor. The delta-ranked wolves surrounded the newly arrived group, their eyes filled with vigilance and hostility. They were in the middle of a war; the blood of the omegas that was shed from the quick attack was the telltale sign that the war was reaching its peak already.A visitor from the direction where their enemy was located? That person was not welcomed especially for the wolves of the Blood Claws Pack.As soon as Talia and the two alphas went to stand side by side with Diana and the group, the cloaked person was left at the center of the encirclement. The uninvited guest stood calmly while being surrounded by an oppressive air filled with killing intent. As soon as the gentle breeze from the n

A few hours earlier…At the highest fortress of the Werewolf Committee, two people stood side by side as they watched the rising sun from the grand balcony of the uppermost part of the tower.Twirling the goblet of wine in her hand, Shananel, who was clad in her Elder uniform, stood straight with her chin held high. The air of solemnity and nobility wafted from her, making people rever her presence. It was a telltale sign of the peak of vicissitudes she had grasped after many years of battles both in war and in politics.Through her sharp pair of eyes, there was nothing but a trace of determination and ambition.“Elder Shananel,” called the middle-aged man wearing a pure white cloak with feathered edges.Shananel hummed in response as she took a sip from her goblet of wine, staining her pale lips with a crimson shade. The man cleared his throat before he continued; the suffocating oppressive aura from Shananel was making it hard for him to continue. Upon Soleyah’s declaration, everyone became frozen. As the seed of doubt was planted, more and more started to question what was happening. From Lina, who was curled against the tensed Diana, to Seymor Tesan, who was openly glaring and frowning at Soleyah, to Soleyah, whose eyes were shining brightly.Upon seeing Soleyah’s gleaming eyes, more and more believed her words. After all, it was common knowledge in this wolven continent that the alpha heritage of the aloof Woodland Pack was especially beloved by the Moon Goddess herself, giving each generation’s alpha a unique skill. For Soleyah, she was the alpha gifted by the All-seeing Eyes.No lies were left unscathed and no secrets were left unturned in front of her eyes. With this pair of eyes, she was able to uncover the real appearance hiding behind the skin of a frail-looking woman. At first, she did not detect it. Probably, the warlock had a magic tool to hide his presence against witches like Talia and Diana. But it was only a mat

Jaxon, who was about to step forward and pull Talia back, was stopped by Cameron. His brothers, though sporting a worried look, shook their heads, indicating to Jaxon that they should let Talia settle her grudges. After all, they had heard about the fate Talia had to suffer at the hands of her fellow witches. They could only blame themselves for foolishly thinking that they were saving her by letting her stay there even after knowing that their mate was a witch in the Genesis Coven. Their supposed compassionate move pushed Talia instead to an abyss of more suffering. The least they could do to her was to let her have her revenge to her heart’s content. Upon seeing the consent of the six alphas of the Night Prowlers Pack, the others had to take a step back as well. Since the main tent was merely standing and the important pieces of paper were taken by Rakiz already, the place which was a hub of strategy became an instant arena. For the first time, Talia gave her six mates a look of ap

Experience would indeed topple talent. What was happening before Diana was the perfect example of this passage. No matter how talented Talia was, the experiences Merlin accumulated throughout his life still gave him the advantage to turn over the situation just by using a series of underhanded means. Was it fair? No.Did it matter? No.In this world, especially in the world of the supernatural, the strong ruled over the weak.Strength was simply the law.“Damn it!” Alpha Rhys could not stand watching his mate being pressed by Merlin. He took a step forward, preparing to dash forward, only to be stopped by a soft yet firm hand. When he looked back, he saw Diana shaking her head at him.She said, “This is Talia’s demon. Let her beat her own demon, only then, can she open her heart to you. Ever since I met Talia, her heart is already corroded by her tragic past. Long ago, when the Moon Goddess slept inside the cradle of oblivion, Comba was the only god of the world. Just like how the Moon Goddess blessed the werewolves with their wolf counterparts, Comba blessed the witches with the ability to command the nature at will across the seven seas. The gift given by Comba was the reason why witches stood at the peak of the chain with so much difference in power compared to the races beneath them. It was because of this peculiar and convenient blessing that the witches were both revered and feared by the other races. They revered them for their strength and they feared them for the little sense of empathy towards the lower races. They treated the werewolves as their slaves. For many centuries, werewolves were skinned as their clothes while the werewolves’ heads hanged by their homes and gates as ornaments. It was a time that werewolves almost became instinct. Female werewolves were exploited for sick entertainment while male werewolves were used as

Clad in an epsilon-ranked uniform of the enemy camp, the shade of red and black did wonders against the snow-like complexion of Dana and the noble elf as they trudged the empty plains of the southern territory. Kicking the piles of snow and stones in her way, Diana cleared the path for Gelong who was walking behind her like a duckling following its mother goose. The heaving sound of a set of constricted lungs made her stop. She turned around as she untied the black tattered satin from her neck before she placed it around Gelong’s frostbitten neck and chin.“We will find a safety spot for you with food and enough heat to last you as you wait for me.” Diana muttered under her breath. A ghost of a translucent smoke escaped from her chapped lips.Upon her words, Gelong lifted her chin to meet a set of orbs staring at him already – making him want to step back like always. “Where are you going? You are not planning to go into this plan without me, aren’t you?”On instinct, his hands found

Heavy footsteps together with the rattling of chains echoed within the empty corridors of the fortress they were staying at. The silent breathing of the elven folk did not leave unnoticed for Diana as the two of them were on high alert as they trudged within the hallways of the keep. Diana gritted her canines, enough to make her taste her blood trailing down her throat. She did not like, especially Teshin, how they were chain into submission. Had it not been for the remaining logic within her mind, she was sure that the corridor walls would have bathed the blood of the delta-ranked werewolf traitors.Three trecherous delta-ranked werewolves, clad with their uniforms which the insignia of the secret circle was embroidered, wore smug faces as they held the leash that the prisoners were bound to. One of the delta-ranked werewolves, who had a bloody knuckle, pulled the leash he was holding on a whim. On cue, Diana stumbled forward – losing her footing and which made her chin kiss the dust

The tip of the claw grazed Diana’s throat. Upon seeing her crying face, the first alpha, who was apprehensive about everything, was about to step forward when the second alpha, who was constantly courting death, spoke again. “Bring him in.”On cue, the enormous double doors of the throne room opened followed by the rattling of chains and the painful grunts of the person being dragged ensued. A couple of meters away from him, wildflowers started to bloom in the middle of the snowstorm. The trail of flowers led to the trudging person, heading in the direction of the man. Amidst the temperature, his thin cloth barely covered his dainty body paired with his bare feet that buried a mark on the white-colored ground with every step he took, and a pair of eyes glowed like the rising moon.“Took you long enough to come here,” said the man who waited. His back was on him when he stood a meter away from the newly arrived person.“I enjoyed the last of my vacation for I know that the time has come for us to move; we will have no luxury to relax anymore.” The sweet voice answered the man. He took a step and moved ahead, striding past him before he kneeled in front of the tomb. “Rush vanala. It has been years since I last talked to you, but now we can’t do that anymore.” Lumeria, the dryad, heaved a shaky sigh before he continued. “And like what I promised, the wolven race is at stake.

Diana, who was left alone with the leader of the enemy, started to question why she was there. She somehow realized that it was not sheer curiosity that made him call her—it was something more. And for whatever it was, Diana felt she would not like wherever this ‘talk’ was going.“You are from the Crescent Pack, right? And you’re a hybrid as well.” The enemy leader started to speak without even telling her to raise her head.“Yeah right.” Though her head was bent down, Diana spoke with a clear and calm voice which the enemy leader found quite vexing. His eyes gleamed with malediction.“And when was the last heat of your pretty little shapeshifter? I am quite curious to spawn a hybrid of an elf and a wolf. They said that male elves can conceive as well.” This time, the enemy leader cracked a grin upon seeing the hybrid luna in front of him go rigid. He was ecstatic to know that the infamous hybrid luna’s weakness was someone so trivial —something that should be easy to deal with. Seein

There were also some white pieces of cloth folded neatly beside the place as if Dylan was telling her to change her wretched clothes. The lamp that was hanging near the pillar had almost ran out of flame and the dozens of rushed footsteps from different directions right outside her tent were a telltale sign that the war had taken a pause but it was yet to end.“I am in an Alliance encampment,” said Diana as realization dawned upon her. After taking all the pieces together, she was a hundred percentile sure that the blood alpha had brought her in the encampment.‘Then, the abominations and Shananel did not chase us.
