Auretta’s POV

I yawned as I walked towards Alaric’s bedroom window. I opened the dark gray curtains to see the darkness outside. I woke up before the sun showed itself.

I couldn’t sleep soundly because the wolf warriors seemed to increase their training schedule. I could hear the growls held back in their throats.

The wolf warriors were also training in the backyard of the warrior camp. My ears, sensitive to the wolf’s voices, couldn’t ignore them.

I stared at the moon shining brightly, alone and without any stars.

I was sure the Moon Goddess was watching us all and wondered if my parents and ancestors were watching me and praying for my success.

I have been in this house for almost 2 months. I waited for the Alpha Rogue Assassin’s order. He kept looking for the right time to bring Alpha Andrew down to the bottom of the cliff.

Honestly, I didn't know what the rogue assassins were planning. They didn't tell me what they would do to Alpha Andrew, and I didn't know what they did with the

Andrew’s POVI stared at my swollen leg. I felt like I was cursed. The medicine I took wasn’t working.Damn it.Two days ago, after my wolf and our warrior squad fought the River Triangle Pack for eight hours, I switched bodies with my wolf on the way to my pack.I went to meet the rogue assassins and two warriors escorting me. We only talked for twenty minutes, and then they went back into hiding, and I went back to my pack.At that time, I didn’t go to the central warrior camp because there was a problem at the warrior base in the south of the pack; when I got there, I started to feel pain in my right leg, and within two hours, my leg swelled up, like it was going to explode. It hurt a lot, but not as much as when my wolf got a lot of wounds on the battlefield. My swollen right leg made me drag my leg, and I couldn’t stand for too long.I decided to hide myself from the public because I didn't want people to worry about me, and the enemies would be pleased to hear that I was poisone

Auretta’s POV"Let's wait for your dad. His wolf is done fighting the enemy," I told my son after I breastfed him.The mating mark on my neck only throbbed three times. I never worried when Andrew fought the enemy because he wouldn’t let anyone win against him.“The sun is going down.” I stood on the terrace, hugging my son tighter as the cold air bit into my skin.My eyes stared at the orange sky in amazement, and I could see the moon, which was still too shy to show itself. The street lights turned on simultaneously to welcome the night. My son's eyes widened as the terrace light, turned on by the omega, shone on us."You can't see far now, but don't worry, you'll be able to soon," I said to my son, who looked at me intensely as if he understood what I said.I kissed my son's cheek. I pouted, not getting his smile.“You have a cold face like your dad. You must learn to express your face and smile.” I advised my 10-day-old son.I smelled Andrew’s intoxicating scent, a broad smile spr

‘He’s crazy!’ My wolf growled.“Don’t pretend, Auretta.” Andrew stared at me even more sharply as if his gaze could bore a hole through my head.“I know what you’ve been doing with your warrior!” Andrew raised his voice as his chest heaved with emotion.“Why are you accusing me of betraying you?” I asked in confusion. I didn’t understand why he suddenly said such a ridiculous thing.“I have proof.” His voice was as cold as his gaze.“I swear to the Moon Goddess, I did not betray you.”“Don’t lie!” Andrew growled.Trembling, I put my hand on my chest, trying to gain his trust. “Ask my wolf. She wouldn’t lie.”I struggled to stand on my shaking legs as I hugged Alaric tightly. I swallowed hard several times.Andrew was terrifying. I summoned Beta Duncan via mind link to protect me from Andrew, who could go on a rampage anytime.“Your wolf could have covered up your lie.” Andrew hissed sharply.“I know I’m rarely home. My wolf is often busy training and attacking enemies.” I could see a

I pinched my hands and cheeks until they were red.I wasn't dreaming. What happened to me that morning was real. The pain was worse than when I first switched bodies with my wolf.My heart was as broken as when I saw my parents lying stiff in coffins and buried.I was so weak, as if I had no bones until I had to lean my body against the wall.I covered my mouth tightly with my hand to prevent my sobbing from waking Alaric, who was taking a nap.‘When you caught him kissing Tabitha, and you found out that they had a special relationship all this time, we forgave him and gave him a chance to prove to us that he would forget his love for Tabitha and love you, but what is he doing to us now?’My wolf emotions flared up, making my body hot and challenging to control.I did not want my wolf to take over my body and harm Andrew or Warrior Johan.I needed to maintain a good relationship with Andrew because we had a son. Andrew might have forbidden me from meeting my son simply because he was

The man covered my mouth with a handkerchief. I struggled as hard as I could in his arms. He took me to a forest on the right side of the river.I winced when he threw me to the ground.'Let's switch bodies!' My wolf shouted.Trembling, I stood up and clutched myself firmly. I took a hesitant step back, and a tree root nearly forced me to sit down on the ground. My breath caught; my heart was racing so fast I could hear it, and my eyeballs shook as I watched the man tilt his head and narrow his eyes, smiling behind his black mask. Calm down, Auretta. I told myself.No. I couldn't calm down! The man was a rogue assassin, and someone paid him to kill me.My breath hitched as if the air around me had stopped blowing when, in the flash of an eye, the man was standing behind me again, bringing his knife to my neck. My wolf growled. The man prevented my wolf from taking over my body.“W-who paid you guys?” In this situation, I asked that. At least I know who wanted me dead.“Are you serio

My nose had gotten used to the scent of rogue assassins, but I couldn't shake my wariness of them.I never tire of reminding myself that they were people who earned money by killing. They have killed many pack leaders and business people. We had the same goal: to destroy Alpha Andrew, and then I would reclaim all that my ex-mate had taken. Our partnership benefited both of us.But I knew about them. My life was in their hands. They would never stop watching me until I died, ensuring that their secrets were safe with me.“Your movements are slow.”“You give your opponent a lot of openings to attack you.”“You’re too fast and in a hurry that you can’t focus on your opponent’s movements.”“You have to stab his chest properly.”“Rest. Maya, the omega who was carrying Alaric when I arrived at the house, took me to Alaric's room.Nothing had changed or increased. Even the arrangement of the items in the room remained the same as the previous time I left the house, as I was the one who made my son's room."Don't change the layout of the things in this room," Maya said as I looked at the photo of Alaric as a newborn on the wall. I blinked my eyes to get rid of the tears that were ready to fall."I understand," I said to Maya after I was sure there was no sadness in my eyes."If you clean the dust off the photos, you have to put them back in their original positions," Maya remarked, pointing to the ones on the nightstand. "Alpha can detect it. He remembers the layout of every object in this room."“I will remember. I will not make a mistake,” I said confidently.Maya looked at me deeply and seemed hesitant to speak, but because she was a good woman, she told me even though her voice was shaking. “Don’t make Alpha angry.

“Why do you want to dig up the late Luna’s grave?” Duncan looked at me in confusion and question.‘Just ignore him, Duncan,’ my wolf said to Duncan through the mind link. ‘Andrew is crazy. His mind is perplexed. Just ignore his ramblings.’“I’m serious. I want to dig up the grave of my late ex-mate,” I said to Duncan. “Come on, accompany me to the Mountain Volcano Pack. I need to see her body again.”Duncan gaped. He gave me an odd look as if I had recently been freed from a mental hospital.‘Andrew.’ My wolf growled, and then he said it in a high tone, making my head spin. ‘What happened to you, huh? I remember you were angry at Alpha Zavier and our pack’s spy team warriors who were incompetent at their jobs. Why did you suddenly say that to Beta Duncan?!’I massaged the bridge of my nose, hoping to ease my throbbing head.‘You told me you wouldn’t tell anyone about your suspicions. You’d go public once you found solid evidence. You don’t want Beta Duncan and the others to know what

Andrew’s POVI switched bodies with my wolf, whose wounds had yet to heal. I ignored the pain. They would go away on their own.The doctor injected me with vitamins and supplements to speed up my body’s blood production and replace the fluids I had lost during the fight.I thanked the doctor and walked out of the room.Thousands of warriors who fought on the battlefield also received injections like mine.Even though none of my soldiers had died during the five-hour combat, I couldn't deny that many of them had been seriously hurt and required more medical attention. Some wolves had to undergo surgery for broken bones, making it impossible for them to switch bodies with their humans. They could switch bodies with their humans five or six hours after the surgery. That day was the longest war we had ever fought. My pack, nicknamed the pack that really likes to fight, never attacked our enemies for more than 2 hours, unlike the River Triangle Pack, which dared to send half of its warrior

  • Rejected Luna: I Will Take Everything Mine   Chapter 23

The River Triangle Pack attacked the River Oval Pack an hour ago, and they were still fighting in the woods near the front gate of the pack.I was sitting on the terrace with Alaric on my lap. I could faintly hear thousands of wolf howls in the distance. Not long after, I saw hundreds of warrior wolves exit the warrior camp, followed by hundreds more dashing past the front of the house. The next second, I was shocked to see Alpha Andrew's wolf emerge from the home, jump over the 2-meter-high fence—without waiting for the two warriors to push it—and quickly join his thousands of warrior wolves.I could understand the wolves' howls. They invited their friends to dash into battle, encouraging them to wound or kill their opponents, and many were cursing their opponents. The River Oval Pack's spy warriors seemed unaware that the River Triangle Pack was planning to attack them that day. Therefore, Alpha Andrew's wolf did not invite his warrior troops to wait for their opponents to arrive on

Auretta’s POVI looked at Alaric, who was drinking milk. My poor son. He had been drinking formula since he was 11 days old.I was by his side, but unfortunately, he couldn't drink my breast milk.I should have been the one breastfeeding him.My breasts were so sore during the month I lived in the rogue assassin’s base. All the things that happened to me made me unable to breastfeed my son.I believe I was still producing milk. I wondered if I could still nurse Alaric, but I wasn't sure where to experiment. The CCTV in Alaric's room was not operating, and I confirmed that there was no sound-tapping device, but Alaric's door was not closed, allowing anyone to enter the room.I was forbidden to lock the door, but those who wanted to see Alaric would have to knock first. If I were stubborn and didn't think about the possible things, I would breastfeed Alaric.No. I couldn't do that.Alaric would cry if I suddenly stopped him from drinking milk. I would panic and put my breasts back in my

“Hi, what’s going on, Alpha Andrew?” I stared lazily at Alpha Matteo of the Black Sea Pack because I knew why he was meeting me. He was an Alpha who loved money very much. The topics he talked about were always about business. “I’m doing well. Thanks. How about you?” I asked him. I didn't like small talk. We sat across from each other on the couch in my living room. “I’m great!” Alpha Matteo said excitedly. I could see the money in his sparkling eyes. “Before we talk about what I want to tell you, I want to ask you one thing. I learned this information from the warrior guarding the gate,” Alpha Matteo said. “About what?” I raised an eyebrow. “Is it true that you have found the right nanny for your son?” Alpha Matteo asked. Oh, I forgot, he was also an Alpha who loved gossip but wouldn’t spread the news; he would keep it in his mind. He just wanted to satisfy his curiosity. All the Alphas from the werewolf clan agreed that Alpha Matteo knew all the information, like the rogues

Andrew’s POVAfter two months of distancing myself from him, I held Alaric for the first time.My heart was beating so fast, like a drum, and I looked at Alaric with a panicked face.I was concerned Alaric would cry as he had before. Since my ex-mate's burial, I had materialized in front of Alaric while he was already in deep sleep because the Omegas and Beta Lyra had a difficult time getting him to sleep.Oh, I nearly forgot. I met Alaric once while he wasn't sleeping. It was Rebecca's second day as his nanny. Rebecca followed my suggestion and dried Alaric under the sunlight. That morning, I really wanted to hug and hold Alaric when I saw Rebecca sitting on a chair by the pool with Alaric on her lap.I couldn't help myself. Then I told Rebecca what I wanted. Rebecca helped me hold Alaric properly so his body wouldn't hurt. That was why Alaric was in my arms now. My body was stiff as if this was the first time I'd held my son."Relax, Alpha," said Rebecca. "Alaric won't cry, trust me
