We receive a lot of gifts and blessings from the pack members before we head to the packhouse. Inside the packhouse, I am given a warm welcome by the staff. I don’t see many familiar faces like Maya who used to be a bitch to me. Maybe Elijah kicked her out or something.

Ezra scans the vast living room space, his jaw dropped in awe from taking in the opulence. He runs towards the floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a panoramic view of the forest, the glass reflecting the room’s cool, metallic sheen. The walls are a smooth, matte black, a perfect backdrop of the art pieces that hang like scattered constellations. Art pieces that I bought when I spent my time here.

He hasn’t thrown them away.

My eyes fall on the sitting area, a sleek, L-shaped sofa dominating the space, its cushions upholstered in a deep, charcoal gray leather. The familiar low, glass coffee table holds a single, sculptural flower arrangement. The same table where I signed the divorce papers.
