I take a step closer to Nile. “Out of all the people who follow the king, you are the one who has the balls to challenge his authority. If you think we are the enemy, then go ahead and fight us. But…” I look at Rowan. “You know very well you won’t win.” I declare and Nile’s fist clenches. He knows it. They have already lost. With Rowan’s current state and Cyrus unconscious, they can’t do much.

“Dammit! Then what the hell do you want?” He spits in rage.

“Take the matters to the High Council. Put Rowan in the hospital. He needs immediate medical attention.” I stalk out of the room.

“But what about the General?” Another man asks, eyeing me suspiciously.

“Cyrus is the one who has been taking care of the Alpha King’s medical needs?” I ask.

The men look at each other and nod.

I smirk. “Then check the medicines Cyrus has been giving him. Then decide for yourself.”
