My eyes go wide. “What?! Mom was my uncle’s…girlfriend?”

Dad massages his temple with his two fingers as if recalling the memory is too much for him. “They were in a relationship until Charlotte turned eighteen and she found out who her real mate is.”

I gasp. “Oh my Goddess! It was you.”

Dad nods slowly. “Your mother was conflicted. She saw me as her lover’s brother but then I turned out to be her mate. Her wolf wanted me and I did too. But it was complicated because of Regef’s feelings for her.”

I watch his arms tremble. So I place my hand on his shoulder. “You should sit.” I lead her back to his chair and make him sit.

I pour some water on a glass and hand it to him. He gulps the water in a go and sighs deeply. I am not sure if I should push him to speak further. This is far more complicated than I thought and hard for me to digest.

“What did you do?” I ask softly. I won’t pressure him if he doesn't want to answer.
