Chapter-19: Shopping
Sya's POV:
I think I'm going to die. No, no wait. I think I might’ve dropped a lung back on the escalators.
“Oh my God, would you look at this dress, Sy? It's so gorgeous! Red really brings out my eyes. I'm so getting this one,” Hannah said as she twirled around in front of the mirror, holding a red strapless dress.
I helplessly stared at the more than ten shopping bags in my hands. “Hannah! I'm kind of dying- here.”
She noticed how the bags were killing me and quickly grabbed half of them from my hands. “Better?”
I nodded before looking at the clock, “The dress is lovely. Now can we please get something to eat? I'm starving!”

Rejected Love Chapter-20: Mate?
Kane's POV: --Flashback-- I could barely open my eyes. I had already lost so much blood and I felt so weak. The dark figure or vampire or whatever he was, still had me gripped tightly by the neck. My body was hanging limp, still in his chokehold. The person who'd shown up earlier, Bryson, had his hand clapped around the murderer's throat. "I told you to leave the damn boy alone!” Bryson yelled. A sinister smile appeared on the vampire’s bloodied face, “Fine. I could use a healthy exercise before my meal.” He hissed and bore his fangs to my face before letting my weak body crumble to the ground. Bryson moved forward with the first punch but after that, they became a massive ball of blur. I tried to keep my eyes open but it was no use. I was too weak to even move. I felt so light-headed and my body felt like it weighed a ton. I let the darkness take me in after struggling against it a few times.

Kane's POV: I slammed my fist into the wall nearby, filled with rage. It was him. Again. Elijah. The one who ruined my life all those years ago and was now back to do it again. Sya's POV: I sneezed for the 20th time since Elijah had brought me here. I had no idea how long that was either but it felt like years already. Kane's POV The car ride to the place Stella told me about was a blur of madness. Hannah had forced herself inside before Bryson could stop her and demanded she be taken to the place her best friend was being forcefully kept in. Both I and her boyfriend told her not to go, as it would put her in danger but she refused to listen. Her persistence was both understandable and stupid. Understandable because her best friend had been kidnapped and stupid because she had no idea who we were dealing with. But I didn't tell her. It was Bryson's place to spill his secret. Hence, the four of us traveled to the far end of the woods, where an old, abandoned torture tower was located. Stella had traced Sya to the basement of this place. Sya's POV “This won't budge either,” Hannah groaned, trying to pull out the tiny window. “It's no use. The window’s too small for us to climb out anyway,” I told her, sitting down on one of the empty cartons. She sat down next to me and sighed. “I'm worried. Why haven't the guys come yet?” I wanted to answer her but I felt so weak. It was like my body was slowly beginning to shut down on its own. “Sya? You okay?” Hannah asked, concern coating her voice. I nodded but fell to the ground anyway. She sat down next to me, holding my hand. “Sya! Hang on a bit in there please!” I nodded. “It's okay. I'm a bit dizzy that's all.” I sat up straighter, thumping my head to clear my blurred vision a bit. It worked. A knock at the door called our attention. “Hannah? Sya? You guys in there?” a female voice asked. “Stella!” Hannah cried, quickly running over to the door. “We're in here!”
