When I checked the caller's ID, it turned out to be Cencil.

My first instinct was to decline the call, but after a few seconds of weighing my decision, I allowed my phone to ring until the lines disconnected.

Pushing my phone back into my pocket, I returned my gaze to Eros, only for my buzzing phone to cause another distraction.

Knowing, fully well, that it was Cencil, I decided to ignore it but Eros asked,

“Isn't it important?”

I didn't want to let him know the identity of the caller, so I flashed a smile at him as I rose.

“I will come around” I said, then turned to leave.

I was glad when Eros didn't try to stop me.

When I got to the road, I immediately flagged down a cab to take me to my mother's house.

I needed someone to speak with, and it turned out she was the only one available to hear me out.

All through the ride to my mother's house, my phone was ringing non-stop.

I wasn't in the mood to speak to him, at least for now, hence I ignored it.
