I was solemnly bent over my food of pork and rice, picking at the spinach in my food when the door suddenly burst open and I jerk up in surprise on seeing Damien before sighting his Beta and his mate behind him.

He had a phone to his ear and they were staring at me like they were seeing a ghost.

"Vanessa call in our most trusted pack warriors to guard this room 24/7." Damien starts saying and with knotted brows, I raise my head.

"Guard this room? What's going on?"

Damien had his eyes fixed on mine but I could tell that whoever was on the phone was capable of causing more harm than good; seeing the expression on his face.

"You would never get away with it Jason." He grits his teeth and I feel my blood run cold on hearing the soft chuckle on the other end.
