BRYCE
I still can’t get over all that happened yesterday. From my friend forcing me into attending a birthday party, to having unprotected sex with a total stranger.
Inside the plane, the disturbing memories I was trying so hard to forget, seemed to have rented a huge space in my head. There was no other thing I could think of other than the lady I had taken away her virginity while she was subconscious.
I ended up like him. I ended up repeating the same mistakes of the one man whom I loathed the most in my life.
“Sir Del Rio Castadel.”

“Bryce, I think you should come with us, there will be so much fun, trust me,” Liam, the closest buddy I have, said convincingly.
“I can’t, I have loads of work to finish,” I replied, hoping he would stop with his disturbance.
He looked at me, then used his fingers to twitch his left eyebrow. “When will you stop acting like a monk? For the past few months, it’s been just you and your work. How boring can you be?”
I stood up from my office chair, then I walked over to him. “If there’s anyone that knows my history with women a lot, then that one person is you. I hardly get attracted to women without quality, but that doesn’t make me a monk. I’m much more vibrant than you will ever be.”
“Is that a challenge then?” I heard him ask.
“Yes,” I replied, not giving his question any thought.
“The challenge starts now and we can only guarantee a winner by attending the birthday party. Let’s see how many women you can attract to yourself,” he challenged.
I wasn’t the type to indulge in unnecessary competitions, but I wasn’t also the type to succumb to defeat or go back on my word.
Moving back to my work desk, I picked up my car keys, then I walked out of the room, it was left for him to come after me. Besides, he hadn't come over with his car.
“We have not started yet but you are already on the losing side,” I mocked him while driving.
He didn’t seem to get the joke, so I explained to him.
“You are getting a ride from me to a birthday party. What woman would want to hang around a tag along with a man who doesn’t own a car of his own?”
“Bryce!“ he exclaimed, making me smile lightly.
“Firstly, I’m not a tag along, secondly, I have a car of my own,” he said in his defense.
“Of course, I am fully aware of that, but it doesn’t mean that the ladies will. I am Bryce Creed, the most successful bachelor here in the United States. What made you think you could challenge me in terms of getting the attention of women? I’m way more attractive and sexy, with just a snap of my fingers, I can have any woman I desire,” I boasted.
It had really been long since both of us bantered in such a way, we finally got to the club where the birthday party was being held.
Entering the room, everywhere seemed really hot and the noise was really disturbing to me. As for Liam, he had already paired up with some girls, he had probably taken this challenge of his seriously.
At some point, the noise got really annoying and so I decided to find somewhere quiet to cool off.
Cell phones were taken away at the entrance, so I just had to sit in boredom till the party was over.
While impatiently waiting for the hands of the clock to do its thing, I heard a strange noise coming from a room I had no idea existed.
For some reason, the voice I heard seemed like a cry and so I decided to check up on whoever was inside that room.
“Who is there?” I asked, walking closer to the direction the noise was coming from.
Whoever the person was, said nothing, but she stood up and walked close to me.
I couldn’t exactly remember the words she used, but I knew she mentioned something about me being her savior.
With great surprise, she began to kiss me all over my body. The normal Bryce would have tossed her aside, but no, I didn’t.
In fact, it seemed as though I was enjoying every bit of what this lady was doing to me.
I could tell that she wasn’t in the right state of mind, she was probably drunk. I did not want to take advantage of her, but I just couldn’t resist.
Her nakedness was rubbing off all over me and her scent smelt too good to be real. Without giving it another thought, I gave into my sexual desires, but in the midst of everything, I realized that I had taken away her virginity. I felt somewhat guilty, so I immediately left after we were done pleasuring each other.
I walked out of the bar, jumped into my car and headed straight to my house, not caring about how Liam would get back home. All of these were his fault after all.
I rushed into my room, took off all my clothes, rushed into the shower and let the water wash away the memories of everything that had happened tonight. I swore that I was going to get this night out of my head and the only way I saw was fit to do so, was by leaving the city.
“Hello Sam,” I said to my personal assistant over the phone.
“Hi boss, how may I be of service to you tonight?” He asked.
“Book the next flight to Canada for me immediately,” I ordered. Trying so hard to block out whatever reason that would make me change my mind.
Just the same way Del Rio had hurt my mother, I did the same to another lady. The only difference is that Sir Castadel was a much better person than myself.
I didn’t care to see what the face of the woman I had taken advantage of looked like.

He appeared genuinely pleased with our interaction and it seemed as if he was about to engage me in an intriguing conversation when, suddenly, his personal assistant appeared at his side. AVYIt was a warm, sunny day, and I had decided to go for a jog in the nearby park. The sun was shining brightly, casting a golden hue on everything it touched. The trees were swaying gently in the breeze, and birds were chirping merrily in the branches above. As I jogged along the winding path, I couldn't help but feel a sense of peace and contentment. While rounding a bend in the path, I suddenly found myself face-to-face with Bryce. It was the third time in the past few weeks that we had bumped into each other like this. I couldn't help but wonder why the two of us keep meeting this way? Was it just a coincidence or was fate somehow bringing us together?I decided to act like I hadn't seen him, hoping that he would be the first person to call out to me. To my delight, everything happened just like I had planned. Bryce waved at me with a friendly smile, and I feigned surprise as I stopped in my tracks."Hey there!" he called out. "I fancy meeting you again."I laughed, trying to
***Avy's POV*****“Listen to me honey, mom is busy downstairs, so I want you to be extremely quiet, okay?”Aiden nodded while staring at me confusedly. Oh, goodness! This is the second time I have lied to my son today. What's with today? I just hope he never finds out and that his games keep him glued. Aiden is usually smart on a normal day and would easily find out what's going on if I defaulted in the slightest of ways. “So, I'm going to go downstairs now. So, if you need anything, you can call me, okay?”“Okay mom,” Aiden replied sharply. Just as I was about to leave, Aiden gazed down at his pad, and continued playing his computer games. Thank goodness! I couldn't be happier than I was at the moment. I quickly descended the stairs, only to find Mr. Bryce, staring at the wallpaper. It was a picture of the ocean. Good thing none of Aiden's pictures were in the living room. I'm so certain that he would definitely ask me, and what would I do then? I guess he will find out at that ve
Avy's POV*******“Hello, Katie!” Katie, who seemed to be working in her car, immediately raised her head up. The moment she saw that it was me, her smile knew no bounds. “Oh my God, Avy! You're here… “I scurried over to meet her, while Aiden was still in the car, trying to take out his toys. “I kissed you so much, best friend!” I said as I pulled her in into a warm hug. “Be careful with the hug now, I might stain your white dress.”“Oh, I quickly backed away.” I just noticed Katie was all drenched with black stains on her hands. “You look good today, I must say. If I didn't know better, I would almost have believed that you were either coming back from a date or about heading to one.”“Oh Katie.” I would have known nothing had ever escaped Katie's eyes. “Why that face, though, don't tell me I was right. Are you really coming back from a date?” Katie asked with wide eyes. “Not actually coming, but about going on a date,” I said nervously. “Jesus take the wheel! Since when did
***Avy's POV***“Thank you for today,” I uttered as I was being escorted out of the restaurant by Bryce. “No, I should be the one thanking you for today. I had a great time, and it was all thanks to you.”“Well, then, I'm glad you had a great time just like I did too.”“Let me take you home, Avy,” Bryce offered. That was so sweet of him. “Thank you so much for your offer, Bryce, but I have to go home by myself.”“Huh? Why is that, though?”“Well…the thing is, I'm not going home now. I have plenty of things to take care of at the office, so I'm actually heading to work.”“Oh, okay, I'll reach out to you.” Bryce walked up to me, and for some reason I had wanted to wrap my hands around him, but I didn't know if that would be like me, trying to push things. Do I just let my hands fall back to my side? Just then, Bryce moved closer to me, he licked his lips nervously, I suppose.“So, can I give you a goodbye hug?”I raised my gaze up at myself. That was interesting. How did he know tha
*****Avy's POV*****Three months later*****I had been going steady with Bryce and, within the span of three months, we'd grown so attached that I found it difficult to live my day without calling him to hear his voice. Every so often I felt like I was being too forward and falling deeply. But then, this was the first time I had fallen in love and dated a man. Getting pregnant at 18 when I just turned an adult and having to run away from home to take care of my son as an independent woman didn't give me the chance of falling in love like girls my age did. I had to grow up fast and be responsible for myself and my son.So now that I've finally found a man who I fell in love with, I don't know how to act around him.“Avy, why do you look so lost in thoughts?” I quickly snapped out of my thoughts and took my gaze up at Katie.“Katie, do you think I'm getting too attached to Bryce?” Katie stared at me with a curious gaze, and then she smiled afterward.“But of course. ****Bryce's POV ****I had a lot of work to attend to at the office as usual, but then the thought of one person made it easier for me to start and finish my day happily, and there was no one else but Avy. She was like the light that brightens my day. Meeting her was the best thing that happened to me.Some days, I can't help but think of her and imagine having her for my wife. I know my mom will be shocked, but I'm going to be as patient as I can. When the right time comes, I will not hesitate to make her mine.I was so lost in thought, thinking about Avyannna when I heard a knock on my door.“Yes?” I uttered, and then, the door to my office gradually flew open, and my secretary walked in abruptly.“Sir, there's someone who wants to see you,” she said.“Who?” I asked with a creased brow.“She wouldn't tell me her name, but she said it's urgent to see you. I've tried walking her out but, I'm afraid, she's quite stubborn. I wanted to use the security on her, but then I only want to do
*****Louisiana's POV****I marched out of Bryce's office in anger. I can't believe that he would ask me to leave just like that. This is a man I knew cared for me. How the hell did he change so much within three years? I know I made a mistake, but that was all but a mistake. And by the way, it was his fault. If only he had been there for me, I wouldn't have gotten myself into the mess I got into. So, why can't he see past my fault and accept me back? A tear escaped my eyes, so I quickly wiped it off and marched out of the company's building. I need to clear my head. I can't believe I had been preparing to see him over a week after I got hold of his company's address. And then, when I thought everything was going to work out fine, I ended up being rejected like this? Getting into my car, I pulled up my hair and held it in a ponytail. Putting my hands on the steering wheel, I thought of where to go to, in order to clear my thoughts. Just then, I remembered just where to be. Immedia
