EVELYN POV

“Mom, what’s this?”

Harry's eyes widened as he pointed at the laptop screen in front of us. He was sitting on my lap, his tiny fingers almost touching the image of a tall oil construction building that I had just opened.

“It’s an oil building, sweetheart,” I replied, smiling gently. “But even if I tried to explain, you might not get it just yet.”

“What’s an oil building?” he asked, curiosity lighting up his face.

I sighed softly, scrolling down to show him more of the image. “It’s a place where workers help make oil. It’s all about oil production,” I explained, hoping to make it clearer for him.

Harry pouted, his eyes glued to the screen as I closed the image. Suddenly, my office door swung open.

“Uncle!” he shouted, jumping off my lap, his face lighting up with a big smile. He dashed toward Simone, who spread his arms wide, grinning.

“My boy!” Simone exclaimed, wrapping Harry in a warm hug and lifting him high into the air.

“Uncle, your white hair is getting so much! The

It only disgusted me that he dared to call himself a "dad." That title should be earned, not thrown around."Harry, come here. Let’s go." I could feel my anger bubbling up as I rolled my eyes and started walking toward the workers."Ma'am?"One of the workers, his eyes lighting up when he saw me approach, immediately bowed his head."Welcome, ma'am. ALPHA JOHN "Thornfield School?" I asked Beta Andrew, my voice sharp with curiosity. He nodded, a solemn expression on his face. "That's where her two kids go." We stepped out of the car, the crisp air brushing against my skin as I tilted my head slightly to the left, trying to piece his words together. "What do you mean by two kids?" I asked, narrowing my eyes. "She has another one?" Andrew hesitated, his gaze flickering to the ground before meeting mine. "No, Alpha. They're twins—a boy and a girl. Harry and Harriet." My steps faltered, a jolt of realization crashing into me. My fists clenched tightly at my sides, my knuckles whitening. She gave birth to twins. Twins... for Giovanni? "How dare she?" Sharp jawline, green eyes, and his shoulder-length hair pulled back into a neat ponytail. Sure, he was handsome, but that was all he had, right? He wasn't even better than me. How dare Evelyn cheat on me with him?He glanced around, admiring the walls lined with paintings and towering statues. "I love your pack's museum," His voice trailed off as he studied the massive Moon Goddess statues. They were crafted from the rarest materials—rose gold, silver, and gold gleaming under the light. Surrounding her were the sculptures of her descendants, wolves' heads, and other intricate relics that spoke of ancient times. "Nothing entertaining here," I muttered."Wrong," he countered, his eyes flicking to mine. With a casual shrug, he adjusted the brown jacket draped over his suit and pants, his black leat

Only Beta Andrew bothered to wave, and I forced a hollow, no-smile response. He climbed into his limited-edition G-Wagon, the engine growling to life before he sped off, leaving nothing but dust in his wake. I bit my tongue, forcing myself to stay silent when that question was asked. Did it change anything? No. Am I still going to chase her down? Hell yes. I gripped the edge of the table, trying to stay still as my legs wobbled beneath me. A bitter scoff escaped my lips."So... So that means he deceived me?" EVELYNI scoffed. If it wasn’t Giovanni, then… who? I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the red skirt and suit I had put on. The sharp lines of the outfit hugged me perfectly, making me look confident. I pulled my hair back into a neat ponytail, with the strands falling neatly into place, and finished with a bold layer of red lipstick. My jewelry—earrings, bracelets, and a necklace shone softly under the light. Polished. Composed. Exactly how I needed to look."Have you forgotten that you were injured last night?
