KAI'S POV

The sun had set three days ago on Nadia’s lifeless body. Since then, the pack has fallen into a strange silence. The air was heavy with tension, so palpable that it could be cut with a knife. Yet, there was an undeniable sense of relief that was hard to ignore.

I felt a chilling satisfaction wash over me at her demise. My heart was filled with a sense of relief that bordered on joy. Had Alana not acted with such swift decisiveness, I would have taken it upon myself to ensure her end.

Nadia had consistently been a source of trouble and danger for us. It seemed inevitable that she would eventually pay the price for her actions.

However, my heart twisted for Willow. Despite all her mother's wickedness, Nadia was still a part of her. I could see the agony written on Willow's face, a haunting reminder of the loss she had to bear.

Why is the author confused about her own work? She had Alana vehemently tell him she was staying there with the triplets and no matter how much Kai pleaded. Both could have concessions but it is unrealistic to disregard Alana’s actions which have been withholding throughout the book.

none of this is making sense.....especially jumping 16 years. prior to the jump Alana walked away so why are you making him the bad guy? she took those kids and left.

I’m not sure either. Would be easier to accept if he was spelled but in prior chapters I think he mentioned he stayed for Willow. At this point, he needs to apologize and beg but unfortunately he can’t turn back time. They’re all screwed except Willow.
