Alana's POV

I felt the emptiness in my chest intensify as I recalled the vacant beds at my son's room just a few minutes ago. It’s already been two days since they left to join their peers in the Crimson Pack, and I’m gripped by the fear that they may never return.

All my efforts to stop them and make them see reason fell on deaf ears. They had been adamant because they loved her and wanted nothing more than to be with her.

However, their absence had left me feeling more restless than ever. I hope they will return soon to reclaim their rightful place as the Alphas of the Oceanic Pack. Yet, I knew it was not that simple.

They may choose to extend their stay with their mate if they feel the need. The Crimson Pack might be their birthplace, but they remain unfamiliar with its people and traditions. How can my sons find joy in such a place? How can they place their trust in Willow, who was brought up by that detestable woman, Nadia?
