CHAPTER 10

(ATLAS' POV - IN RHEA'S BODY)

*Cough! Cough!*

I woke up with a sharp pain slicing through my gut, the kind that turned my vision white at the edges. My breath hitched as I coughed, each spasm sending jolts of agony through my abdomen.

Instinctively, I tried to cradle my stomach, but my hands remained stubbornly bound above my head. Panic mixed with fury as I tugged at the restraints, realizing I was completely immobilized.

I gritted my teeth, the anger searing through my veins and rising to my temples. “Who the hell…” My voice was raw, a growl edged with defiance. The darkness around me seemed to pulse with a sinister life of its own, and I could sense someone, or something, watching me.

The next thing I saw was the looming shadow before me. A person of sun-kissed skin, squatting just within reach, clad only in an oversized shirt that barely shielded her crotch.

"Kaida!" I barked, my voice bouncing against the cement block I was sitting on. "What is the meaning of this?!"
