That was close. I was so close to having her until Adonai saved her. I almost had a panic attack when he took the drink from her and made to drink it.

That would be a grave act and a course we would suffer for if anything had happened to the alpha. I knew I must have acted silly at the table but I was glad no one was suspicious. I had to take the drink from him quickly.
