"What's with that look?"

He continued to stare at her, as if saying, "Try admitting you like me, for once."

Sophia awkwardly smiled. "I think something practical would be better."

"Don't you think I'm the most practical gift? You can have everything with me."

Sophia glared at him. "You're way too conceited."

Elliot laughed. "My grandpa once told me he found the girl who saved him. I said he should thank her properly. He joked about offering me to you, and he actually did."

Initially irritated by his smug look, Sophia realized their connection seemed unexpectedly deep. The events between them were quite dramatic, one misunderstanding following another.
