Chapter 109 Why the Need to Say Thank You?

Sophia glared at him angrily. Could he not see that his way of speaking was despicable? What was she afraid of?

She opened the car door, and sat inside.

Elliot had a hidden smirk, as he looked at her with gentle eyes. “How did you explain things to Grandma last night?”

Sophia snorted. “Why do I need to explain anything to her?”

Elliot sighed, rubbing his sore forehead. Why did she always speak as though she was picking a fight?

“Were the dumplings good last night?”

Sophia froze. She looked at him suspiciously. He did not buy dumplings for her, did he?

Elliot grew more suspicious. “You didn't eat them?”

Sophia's cunning eyes flickered. “I did.”

Then, watching his expression soften, she added slowly, “I ate the dumplings my grandma left for me.”

Elliot was speechless.

Sophia looked at Elliot's face darkening again and suddenly wanted to laugh. She calmly turned her head, concealing the smirk that she could not suppress.
