"Are you sure you're ready? We could wait a little longer; there's no need to rush," Aros leans against the doorframe and crosses his arms in front of his chest.

I would prefer to put this matter off as long as possible, but it's been a week, and I promised that bitch a fair trial. Besides, I can't decide on dates as the Elders Council has limited time. They've agreed to come in to hold a hearing and decide what to do next, so I've got to take the chance while I have it. "I just want to get this thing over with, that's all. Once it's settled, I can focus on more important things. Such as the health of my mate." I stack the last of the papers and evidence I need to present to the Council as I speak. I'm really grateful to have Aros by my side; I couldn't handle any of this without him.
