"I would like to ask you to remove this object from my skull so that we can proceed to a verbal exchange as any normally constituted and civilized person would." The world of the supernatural seemed to have taken a vacation and also seemed to have decided to leave humans alone. François, though no longer head of the branch of the Order deployed in this part of France, remained vigilant and alert to the slightest suspicious movement.
